    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

That's my biggest problem with Doug Ford and "his" conservative party - the lack of transparency and real dialogue on anything. From the mandate letters (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/crown-lawyer-hours-ford-mandate-letters-1.6891876), this Greenbelt fiasco, the highway project...

I think that's Simona, it was mentioned that it was Simona! It's a beer/pub place? I walked by last week and recall chuckling at their "opening 2023-09" sign. But it'll be great to see them open - definitely needs more options and competition for food/beverages down there.

Wow! I love all of the options. On its own, Maamawi Bridge is pretty good, but compared to the other 4, it does seem to be the weakest entry. I don't think it will be that bad, although it would be nice to see distance measurements for each just to compare. I really really like the idea of...

Is it an amenity provision? It seemed like a commercial venture (like GoodLife Fitness).

The seemingly terminal decline of Tim Hortons

Timmies offers pizzas now too. My biggest problem with fast food/coffee chains offering all these things is the impact to service. I just want my double double and get out, but now I have to wait for them to do all these complicated drinks and foods. :( My closest Timmies is also strange...

Huh, there's a Toronto run community centre across the street offering similar things. Not a bad thing to have more of this and give people options though.

Hadn't been around this part of the neighbourhood for awhile, and was shocked to see this jutting out from the brick building this past weekend. Curious on how it will look once they are finished, but I generally don't like vertical additions on existing brick buildings.

Saw something similar happen a few months ago, but it was more obvious that it was a fire alarm. Heard the firetrucks heading over minutes later as well.

I can see him backtracking on the whole Greenbelt fiasco before stepping down; but definitely a lot more weaseling around to keep it going. Reminds me a bit like his blue license plate pet project - which I still see on the road here and there.

Is it normal to allow buying of Greenbelt land? That seems really weird to me and would already start the warning bells ringing.

Were any of the favoured developers at Ford's daughter's wedding?

Starbucks! I wonder how that'll impact the Loblaws Starbucks booth, and the new Darkhorse. I remember when the Daniel's building (across from Loblaws) had Starbucks, it didn't look good for the Loblaws booth (speaking to the people working there anyways). It really doesn't help that the booth...

Going to admit that I didn't know RSHP either; but it didn't bother me enough to ask or Google. :P

I find it unbelievable that there hasn't been any immediate resignations/firings, let alone backtracking on the whole thing. How can you trust a government when they are blatant crooks? I mean, no gov't is perfect and there's always pork etc. But this is on a whole new level IMHO.

    Maximum number of elevators?

Yeah typically the system works OK. It's when elevators break down or are otherwise not available (booked for delivery) that the algorithm fails and wait times become ridiculous. The problem is definitely more of elevators breaking down in the first place, but this type of elevator system...

    Maximum number of elevators?

I'm not sure if it's clear, but in the elevator lobby it's not up or down buttons, but an electronic screen with buttons for each floor. After you push the button for your floor, the display will tell you which of the elevators to wait for (e.g. elevator A, B, C, or D). Then you wait for your...

    Maximum number of elevators?

My condo has 4 elevators (for ~44 floors), and yes, when one breaks down you can instantly feel it. When two breaks down, it's better to stay home IMHO. What makes it worse is that we have the floor numbers outside of the elevators (like an office building) which I still feel simply doesn't...

I'm OK with the colour. The straight flatness with all the lines is what bothers me much more. It's a busy boring - but the other facades of the building might make up for it.
