    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Mostly agreed. I'd say that small e-scooters (for kids) should be speed limited. But other than that, I do agree that treating them like bicycles seems the simplest/best(?) option?

I like that it's not two tall towers, and the shorter one is quite a bit shorter. And yeah, that's a lot of parking space - although I think it's great that they will have (free?) visitors parking, I don't think they need 58 of them!

With the extra diagonal support lines (cables?) it looks a lot more interesting. As it is right now, it does look a bit weak though I'm OK with the exposed under hang right now. It reminds me of the flat Lego bricks.

Berczy also has the flatiron building which by itself is pretty iconic (both the triangular shape, and the great mural on the base side). I think both parks are similar though (and both awesome), it's mostly the location. Love Park, although adjacent to pretty big office buildings, is close to...

    Perceptions of Accesible Retail Downtown

No Frills will be closing when construction starts in that plot of land right? Although they (or some other grocer) will re-open in the same spot, but that's still a good 5 year absence at least. I think "entitled" is too strong a word, but I do hope that as density around this area (and...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

The recent episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (season 2, episode 3) is set mostly in Toronto - as Toronto!, and not another city - and there is a scene in a restaurant The Lakeview. I originally thought it was a made up name but maybe it's exactly the same one!

I think part of the argument about more density here is whether there will also be supporting elements like: school(s?), library, community centre, transit, family doctor(?), etc. Also, as much as I like skyscrapers, I'd like to see more parity across the city in terms of density, and more...

Wow! I feel bad for these guys that have to work outdoors today/these days. Without masks too it looks like. :(

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

I'm pretty ambivalent to this by-election, but with the recent anti-Chow sentiment I'm definitely leaning towards voting for her; just so much hyperbole and borderline racism. IMHO, they all suck - some will suck more for sure but I'm pretty uninspired by all of them.

    Toronto Toronto | Love Park | 3m | 1s | City of Toronto

Love the little critters throughtout the park. I see what people were saying before about having a different ground material in the pond. It does look somewhat bland right now. But it's a nitpick really!

Yeah based on the video, it sounds like it will start early next year? They are going to slowly pump water across over weeks (3?) before they remove the plug.

Love that video on the river flooding. I _was_ expecting a massive rush of water - an event to watch for! - but what they say makes sense!

    Allan Gardens Revitalization Plan

The longer they wait (although it's probably too late now), the heavier-handed the enforcement will be. Which would just make the optics worse. There's a small (but growing?!) camp under the Gardiner east of Jarivs as well.

    Toronto Toronto | 100 Queens Quay at Sugar Wharf | 117.34m | 25s | Menkes | B+H

I think this is the Sugar Wharf LCBO office building, and not the condo tower.

Yes isn't there a couple of bus routes along QQE that eventually finds their way to/near Union? I wouldn't say QQE is transit less, but it's definitely lacking especially with how congested it can be during rush hour.

Wasn't there thoughts of a bridge connecting Lower Donlands to the island? I would like seeing both east and west connections so that it's essentially a big connected loop. But I don't know if it's really a priority, and how easy access to the island would (negatively) affect it.
