    Calgary | Stephen Avenue Quarter | 241m | 66s | Triovest | Gibbs Gage

Sign me up as pleasantly surprised. I'd be even more surprised if it all goes through though. The only thing I'll mention is that it if you're gonna go to 287m why not just add another 13m so that Calgary gets it's first supertall that we all damn well know this city deserves.💁‍♂️

Ewwwww, this looks like something you'd see in Del Boca Vista in the 80s.

Do you know if the Jaipur Bridge is named so because Jaipur, India is one of Calgary's sister cities?

    Calgary | West District | ?m | ?s | Truman

Perfect place for a few towers. Always wanted to be making the descent from Scott Lake Hill and see a node(s) of towers in the distance signifying Calgary. Whether it be Crowfoot or up at this West District I think it would make for a cool approach to the city.

    Statscan numbers

Ahhhhhhh, that's what happened. I'll admit, at first glance I was ticked off but the fact that a little gerrymandering is all that aided Ottawa to pass us helped lower my blood pressure. It is nice to know we'd smoke em with Foothills included in our CMA.

Are we happy with this quantity of growth? and are there any other numbers released by Stats Can, like the overall growth of the CMA?

My heart boner would be so erect if this came to fruition exactly as in the rendering.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Not sure where else to ask this but I was lurking on the below thread and noticed Ottawa that while obviously doesn't hold a candle to our skyline they do have quite a few high rises spread about the city. I was curious to see how anyone here felt about how Calgary stacked up against the...

Wow that was a wonderful video!. That strafing pano that started at the 6:53 mark was spectacular and a view hardly shown.

    Calgary Skylines

I gotta be honest, I think that's worth the price. Modern interior, view of the skyline, view of the mountains👌. That being said, property taxes $7500 and growing annually plus strata might be a deal breaker. I love to wake up to that view every day though.

Totally, wouldn't mind a couple of these peppered around Brentwood and Westbrook Mall area, maybe even down Macleod Trail.

    Calgary, the next Detroit?

I remember this as well and always enjoyed you putting them in their place. The schadenfreude I witnessed at SSP is so obviously born out of their envy during Calgary's boom times.

    Calgary, the next Detroit?

There is almost nothing analogous about Detroit and Calgary. I've heard it too many time over the years, so tiresome.

    Calgary International Airport

I was in the airport this morning and wow was it busy. I've noticed it getting quite a bit busier since June but today there were 40-50 minute waits for security. Hopefully the trend continues into the New Year and 2022 is unobstructed, could very well set an annual passenger record.

For the time being yes. May as well take advantage of it while we transition. Emerging markets are going to get it from somewhere, may as well be from one of the most environmentally and socially responsible jurisdictions on the planet. If not that money just goes to producing countries that...

Control Room Operator at a SAGD facility about an hour drive South/East of Fort McMurray. Born and raised in Cochrane, moved to Calgary about 10 years ago. I love my home city due to a litany of reasons but as a kid growing up in Cochrane I was always in awe driving into the big city and...

Instead of destroying the Piss Ramp they should move it out to the suburbs. Build one of the new communities outside Stoney around it🤷‍♂️
