    Edmonton | Edmonton Motors Lands Redevelopment | 170.07m | 56s | Pangman

Anyone hoping for spring action on this site will be disappointed to hear that it looks like Revolution Cycle (I think that's who it was but it could be a different company) is setting up some sore of shop in the East dealership building. Lots of racks for bikes and other displays in the windows.

    Edmonton Skyline

even much larger cities than Raleigh and Milwaukee in the US have next to no high rise housing. For example: Phoenix population ~5million and Atlanta population ~6 million Our skyline is very impressive for the size of the city, but that's probably also contributing to the amount of undeveloped...

    Edmonton Skyline

I feel like what gets lost in all the discussion about towers not getting built or being cancelled is the fact that if you compare Edmonton to the other 1-3 million population metros in North America, our skyline punches way above its weight class, and our volume of high rise housing in the core...

    Edmonton | The Jameson | 53.95m | 17s | Open Sky | Acton Ostry

I’m also curious how long the pit can sit there before it becomes unsafe, the board in the retaining structure are starting to look rough and there are a few that are completely broken. Maybe that’s not an issue, I know nothing about it, but it seems like they only have so long before that hole...

Makes me kind of wish Rogers Place had gone with this colour rather than the silver/grey

The Mercury Block II | Hodgson Schilf Evans

$126000/unit construction cost according to the article was interesting to me, that seems pretty low considering the state of our housing crisis

    Edmonton's Population

At a certain point things will start to balance out, prices will go up here, and the rush of people moving here from Ontario and BC will slow. We are more affordable for sure but the province won't be able to solely rely on affordability to continue attracting such a large amount of migration...

    Edmonton | Blatchford Development | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

Newest stretch of Alpha BLVD heading North West, hard to see in the picture but those signs on the lots all say sold

    Downtown

Love that we are getting more much needed shelter space and social services, but I really wish that the suburb neighborhoods and cities would start contributing so that the inner city didn't have to take on the whole issue itself.

    Miscellaneous

The new storage facility? On 116th north of unity square. Sorry for the poor image quality, but I’m kind of loving the outrageous scale of this for that spot if that steel is in fact going to be the buildings outline

    Edmonton | Riley's 108 Street Redevelopment | 20.2m | 6s | J+S Architect

I’m curious if anyone complaining about this one can explain what makes this a suburb building and not an urban building, aside from no CRU’s. We need to fill out the emptiness that is our downtown and get people living there if it’s ever going to be a success and this is a great addition to that.

    Edmonton | Riley's 108 Street Redevelopment | 20.2m | 6s | J+S Architect

This is the kind of development we need in the area! even after this is built there will still be dozens of sites left to put towers. It would be great to see shovels in the ground for this and a few others this spring!

    Edmonton | Blatchford Development | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

Edmonton's climate is pretty much on the borderline for the plant zone that most popular cedars fall in to. If you plant the cedar early in the season and take good care of it and let it get established there's a good chance for it to survive the winter, but if you have a bunch of cedars that...

completed crane and state of the pit from today. Please ignore the awful lighting

    Edmonton | The Mercury Block | 21.7m | 6s

124th has an A&W, KFC, and McDonalds already. They're just on the opposite end of the street from where Mercury is though.

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

Theres not a business on 124th that wouldn't benefit from having a few dozen out of towners staying in the neighbourhood every night. And from what I've seen, 124th is the area I would want to show off to visitors if I was trying to give them a good impression of the city. I'm not saying it...

A rising tide lifts all ships.. or something like that.

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

I've been saying for a long time that 124th st needs one, hopefully the chances are high

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

Density like this already exists in the area, and with there being virtually no tourists in the area, the businesses on 124th need as many residents in the area as possible.
