I'd say it's a scoop from our much more trusted friend :) https://retail-insider.com/retail-insider/2022/05/ikea-announces-toronto-downtown-store-to-open-may-25th/

This is only a temporary store for Pet Valu.

    Toronto Toronto | CAMH Discovery Centre | 41.6m | 7s | CAMH | KPMB

The name of the retail tenant somehow seems incongruous with the usage of the building.

    Toronto Toronto | U of T: The Gateway | ?m | ?s | Westbank

Apologies if there's already a thread on this (I couldn't find one). CBRE is marketing the University of Toronto Schools property as "The Gateway", looking for a development partner for 960,000 sf of university housing, academic space and accessory retail. This should be interesting to watch...

Commercial Real Estate- all things related to commercial real estate in GTA

I agree that these are not the sort of properties usually associated with Allied, but there are only so many brick-and-beam buildings in the City. These are all decent buildings in great locations and I imagine that Allied feels that they are buying when other investors may not be looking at...

    St Lawrence Market

In another STUPID move, we are apparently getting a crosswalk with lights at Front and Frederick. The last time I checked there were traffic lights at Front and Sherbourne and at Front and George, so not sure why we need a crosswalk here.

I've never actually thought about this, but you're probably right (at least for now).

I know (both fact and rumour) and I'm not posting.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT: Cedarvale Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | NORR

I'm taking the presence of a Coco Paving truck as a sign that we might be getting the roadway back sometime soon!

Does anyone want to guess when traffic around Bayview/Eglinton and Allen Rd/Eglinton will be back to normal? I'm hoping and wishing for sometime in the Spring, but that's nothing more than a wild guess.

    Toronto Toronto | Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

Your continual bashing of this building and everything associated with it is becoming very tiring. This is my professional opinion based on over 25 years of experience in commercial retail leasing. What exactly are your qualifications? Are you a planner? An architect? A developer? An...

No matter what everyone thinks about the building in general, the north retail space is going to be amazing.

2 St. Clair West Podium Rebuild (Slate, 2s, Gensler)

Received an email from One Delisle this morning that said "As a special treat, our neighbours BUCA will open their doors for a sneak peek inside their restaurant."

We lived in one of these townhouses for all of my teenage years plus a few (1980 - 1991 - damn, that was a long time ago...). At the time, we didn't think much of the water penetration through the facade - 40 years later, I'm still dealing with breathing issues. I was also the Toronto Star...

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in multi-unit buildings

The changes to the Condo Act that came into force in 2018 set out guidelines for the installation of chargers in older buildings. This is a great resource - https://www.condoauthorityontario.ca/resources/electric-vehicle-charging-station-regulations/ There are a number of private companies...

Agreed. Some of the posts are getting close to bullying. We've heard some opinions over and over again and it's getting tiresome.
