    Who are you?

I'm also fairly new to this site. Although for the past decade I have on and off always checked into SSC and SSP because I've always had a fascination with cities, skylines, populations and infrastructure. I attribute that to growing up in Cochrane and always being amazed with the growth of...

I can see where they have cleared the trees up the hill west of COP for the new ring road whenever I'm driving around but don't see much in terms of excavation in your pic for the future ring road.

    Calgary International Airport

I really would like to see Calgary pass Montreal again in annual passenger traffic. It would be a nice feather in our cap as a hub that has only a quarter as many people residing in the metro area.

    Industrial Development

https://www.gearthblog.com/blog/archives/2010/10/how_often_does_google_update_the_im.html Says here they try to keep up on every area of the globe every three years. So Calgary should be due in a year or so would be my guess, will be interesting to see how much growth it's had.

    Industrial Development

Yea it seems like over the past few years there has been a large amount of industrial growth on the East side of Stoney Trail East. I wish Google Earth was real time so I could see how much more has been added other than me just seeing it from the air when I fly in and out of the city.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know if any listings for the apartments in Telus Sky have been released? Kind of curious as what the price range would be but can't seem to find anything online.

    Calgary Transit

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else but it's a pretty cool video, especially the second half.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I gotta say, for some reason I love the look of a sprawling city with a downtown skyline reaching for the sky. I know it isn't cost effective but growing up in Cochrane I used to love coming into Calgary and seeing how much further the city had grown out every time. So much so that when I built...

I also was a longtime SSP lurker. I still go back to it here and there, however I'm enjoying this page a lot more. Better functionality and seems like less squabbling in the chats.

I'm quite disappointed with the height reduction on the tallest building. Mind you I'm one of those guys that enjoy height over anything else.

    General Construction Updates

Hello everyone. Just made this account after years and years of lurking on skyscrapercity and skyscraperpage. Anyways, the main reason I even made this account is because I was wondering the status on the Currie Barracks redevelopment? I haven't seen anything on it in over a year, noticed...
