I actually think this would be worse - even less public space and more of a wall between the waterfront and downtown. Animate the space underneath and put some real $$$ into bringing waterfront themes up to it. Make it a true destination unto itself.

Yeah I agree and tbh, if they are able to replicate the success of the bentway across the entirety of the Gardiner I'm actually excited about what kind of public space it could become!

I wonder what the fate for the spaces at 106 - 114 are then. All the ones facing queen look to be shut down. Would be great to inject some new spots here, maybe a nice new coffee shop or restaurant.

Agree. This stretch needs some animated retail if it’s going to become a place people actually want to spend some time.

I biked by last night and the restaurant space looked even better at night lit up. Very New York vibe. That combined with the illuminated waterworks sign and the redone park are really making this area quite nice. Ill try and get a pic next time.
