    Toronto Toronto | 87 Peter | 156.05m | 49s | Menkes | Core Architects

I agree, looks so much darker in the renderings.... Not surprised though, more blue-green glass for the city is what we need!

    Toronto Toronto | Casino Woodbine | 31.85m | 11s | One Toronto Gaming | CGL Architects

Looks messy, kind of like an amusement park!

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown Community | 135.02m | 44s | Aspen Ridge | Sweeny &Co

It's unfortunate that they're going to tear most of this down....I quite like this low rise building.

    Toronto Toronto | The Selby | 165.5m | 50s | Tricon | bKL Architecture

I have read the post before, but these panels look like they are glued brick tile and not formed brick or some other time of wall treatment. I'm going by the photos above and not what is necessarily the actual case, since I work in the masonry business and from all the brick walls I've seen in...

Looks like brick tile glued to the cement panel.... Wonder how long before they start falling off !

    Toronto Toronto | J. Davis House | ?m | 9s | Mattamy Homes | Graziani + Corazza

It had character....so of course it had to be demolished!

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Does anyone else think that this price tag for a 6.6km extension to a highway is absolutely outrages! I could understand that if extended north to Hwy#9 but to Major Mackenzie??

    Toronto Toronto | Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Absolutely! If we all recall our CBD back in the 80's and 90's and the variety of colour on our highrises from black to gold and white and granite red, and how great it looked. I don't mind glass towers, even those in the green blue glass.... Buts let's not make that, the majority of what this...

I must say I'm very pleased by the design, just hope that the glass is not the typical blue/green but something more silver....

    Toronto Toronto | Richmond Adelaide Centre: 120 & 130 Adelaide West Recladding | 136.85m | 35s | Oxford Properties | WZMH

Wow.... Yes, let's replace all our pre 2000's architecture and make it look like most of the garbage being built today. Disgusting!!
  15. FMCS

    Toronto Toronto | 401 Bay Street | 143.86m | 33s | Cadillac Fairview | WZMH

Just as I feared! What a shame....

    Toronto Toronto | The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Was going say that they are really expanding out of garbage collections and into other fields recently.. Also, I didn't realize how close to Rogers Centre this project is..

    Toronto Toronto | 1 Yorkville | 183.18m | 58s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

I hope not! These are beautifully simple yet elegant buildings from another time and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them.... I'd even say I prefer them to most of what's being built presently!
