As I said in my post - they are very modern. But that doesn't change the fact that they are espresso machines. Coffee is ground (in the background in the video), placed in and tamped in the filter, tightened on the base, and steam is injected under high pressure. That is an espresso machine...
They use the iPad for point-of-sale only. They have always had full espresso machines there. They are very modern - but they are proper espresso machines. IMO it is far far better than Starbucks (which I personally think is the lowest of the espresso based coffee shop chains).
Does anybody know what the construction project going on in the street in front of this build is all about? It seems like it has been going on for a very long time.
I was thinking surface all of the way. As I understand it, there will be a lot of costs associated with expanding the underground tunnel from QQ to Union. Would making it a surface streetcar reduce the costs?
A question for those who know. Would it cost less to take the streetcar on the surface of bay from queens quay to queen or bloor and make bay a pedestrian, bike, and LRT road only than to complete the underground work necessary?
