    Bloor Street West Bike Lanes

I noticed that the bridge construction sign between Lansdowne and Dundas has been changed from a static sign to a portable electronic sign; that way they can keep bumping the completion date of that segment of the Bloor bike lane without having to order up a new sign to be printed. Currently...

    The Junction

Very interesting. I have passed by this building every day for the last 2 months on the way to the Elections Canada office and wondered what it was/what used to be there. Sadly that structure is currently in even worse shape than the photo...

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

Anyone know the square footage of the new T&T space (compared to the previous one)? I'm curious what their offerings will be compared to the Cherry location...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

It's too bad. I really liked that place, even though it had extremely inconsistent/inconvenient hours. The food was super!

    The Junction

The Beet (operating inside The Passenger, corner Pacific/Dundas) will have its last day this Saturday, February 28. They're still looking for a new location...I guess that means the condo project going up on the corner is finally going to be underway?

    Bloor Street West Bike Lanes

3 months since the last update in October...no movement on the final missing kilometre of Bloor bike lane between Indian Grove & Symington...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

It looks like Mitzi's Cafe is no longer (popular brunch spot on Sorauren). I walked by today and it had a board with a sandwich menu that said Jessie's Cafe, and it's been confirmed on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJeFar4gQ8c/

    Bloordale Village

The space where the Lansdowne Cone and (I believe?) a hair salon were located is going to be the new permanent home of Ruru Baked. Really awesome ice cream! https://rurubaked.com

    Bloor Street West Bike Lanes

I honestly want to cry after reading this update; the lanes aren't expected to be completed this year...(no bike lanes between Symington and Indian Road):

    The Junction

Two developments I'm very curious about that seem to have been hampered/cancelled by COVID: Pizzeria Libretto at 3011 Dundas Street West (former STADT Cafe) - still listed as a future location on their website but whenever I walk by it looks like no progress has been made inside... Boxcar...

    Toronto Bike Share

Love small stations like this that are situated along the bike lane - will make it easy to click back in before 30 minutes are up and restart the clock for people going farther west!

    Bloor Street West Bike Lanes

An update since a lot of the work has been completed now. There are still gaps from Lansdowne to Indian Road due to impending hydro work (project page is here). It looks like they're in phase 2 of 3:

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I suppose my standards are pretty low for decent cycling paths in Toronto but I actually think that path is pretty fantastic and go out of my way to use it (I'm a beginner). Completely separated from traffic and peds. I would be thrilled if it continued east and westward in future!

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

A little cryptic but Google/Yelp say it's closed, though no official message from them. The Ace on Roncesvalles: https://www.tastetoronto.com/news/beloved-roncesvalles-diner-the-ace-for-sale

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

I have to agree. I worked across the street for almost 10 years and never knew a single coworker who who went there, and anytime we had to think of somewhere to have lunch or grab a bite, it was never a consideration!
