Must’ve been a pane in the back to carry all those windows up all those floors! What a pane-ful job. CN Tower. Still peaking a little bit.

Pretty sure it’s the original pumping station? Built in the 1910s. The pumping station that is shaped as a circle was built 1975. The old building is still operational. Found this: https://urbantoronto.ca/news/2012/07/then-and-now-ashbridges-bay-pumping-station.6151

First it was Front & Berkeley, then Front & Parliament, then Lake Shore, and in the future, Cherry. That’s 4 locations / 3 relocations for now. That would be 5 locations / 4 relocations… Nice bridges.

You know what I noticed? The old Toronto Star building was demolished for the site of Canada’s tallest building. Now, the Toronto Star building at One Yonge is proposed to be demolished for the site of Canada’s tallest building. Goodbye Westin. Oh, hey Westin.

Went with a @Contra style update today. This is how much more it has before it tops out. If they construct every floor once a week, then it will take roughly a year and a half to top out.

June 14 and 15. Almost 29 floors. Wall form being lifted. (June 14) June 15. Wonder why the “TOWE” part is always the last to be raised. Reflection from CIBC Square (Phase 1) Windows have been delivered and are waiting! Phase 2 of Sugar Wharf on the left. Big empty land.

I don't know, but it could be a ground vibration monitor. Considering this is before excavation, they could be testing the soil. Along with the bore testing samples, where they collect samples of soil and bedrock.

Not sure if we’ll have a clear view, as the bridge that crosses Bay St that was built along with phase 1, doesn’t have any windows facing north towards the tracks. It has windows facing south only. Not sure if that one was built with a crash wall. This bridge is on the opposite side of the...

June 11. 28 floors up. They added some railing for the terrace. Morning shots: Looks like the same machine that lifts the windows. Afternoon shots: that’s what they installed for the day. Morning: Afternoon: Close-up of crane. Going down.

If anyone is wondering, the angled steel used for steel buildings is called “diagonal bracing”. It is used to help distribute the forces caused by wind and prevents the structure from buckling.
