Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

This might seem too unrealistic, but I've always wanted Sheppard to extend west to Sheppard West, head south to Wilson, then curve to go down Dufferin all the way down to Exhibition. Maybe going down Keele could be an alternative, but Dufferin is where its at when it comes to ridership and...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

Have heard that this single bus goes around the entire city serving multiple routes. There has been talk about it being on the 1, 4/4A, 7, 511, and the 29. In fact it is on the latter as I type this. I’m hoping that they could bring more of these artics to the 505 as it desperately needs...

    Spotted a 60ft conventional bus today…

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Now closing the highway wouldn't be as bad, if there were actual conveinent alternatives. You have a section of the busiest subway line in Canada shut down for the weekend, and GO generally still doing hourly service which is still better than nothing but if all the current expansion lines had...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Whoever decided to approve this design in the first place should be fired. Its always this section (Steeles to Williams mainly) that gets congested during peak times. They should've just made it at least 4 lanes each way, including the HOV, to Sandalwood and then 3 all the way to the Hwy 10...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This is funny, but somewhat not too surprising considering some Kitchener line trains actually become Barrie line ones after arriving at Union. Regardless, this departure board makes no sense being here at Bramalea.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Theoretically, you can do the Niagara train to Union, tap off, then tap on 5 mins later and it gives you 3 more hours to complete your transfer. The downside to this is that it works only on the GO bus or train you're currently on and if you are changing vehicles (or transit agencies) within...

    VIVA + York Region Transit

Its a nice step in the right direction for YRT standards. Still a long way to go but them finally acknowledging Sunday as an actual day people still use transit for is good to see.

    Mississauga Toronto | Mississauga Transitway | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | IBI Group

I will add on by saying that there is a great example of a bus saving time by skipping stations. Look at the 41/41A for example, the regular route services RHC in between Consumers Rd and Highway 407 Station, but the 41A skipping it saves a whole 10-20 mins of time entirely going directly to...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I know that all of these Toronto based pages on IG (and other social media to an extent) have one agenda in mind for this one particular race. Wish it really didn’t have to come to using 6ixbuzz but they were the only big ones at the time who had footage of this. I meant to just show that people...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I got on a train heading to Union today, it seems like some trips there is a lot of space still and it was a train that came from Aldershot. It was fun to zoom by all the Gardiner traffic once again after a while but knowing that there’s an actual cause of lane closures on it does hit different...

I wonder how the traffic would look like on the Gardiner during summer weekends with the Lake Shore closures...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

This might be the first time i've ever seen change actually happen with what the majority of the general public wanted. Hopefully the enhanced GO service to Bramalea is still set as it could work alongside the UPX to alleviate crowding.

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

GO is surprisingly all day as well. Compared to UPX, it just ends roughly about 90 mins earlier at 11:34PM from Union/11:41PM from Weston on weekdays and 11:51PM from Union/11:17PM from Weston on weekends. When Mount Dennis opens, there might be an even bigger increase in GO service. They could...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

I don’t think this change was supposed to be a “time savings” type of thing, but a crowding control situation. They were probably aiming for a similar thing that the express/local trains you see on the LSW or Kitchener lines during the PM peak. They kind of do pretty well with not getting both...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

Its nice to see the 15 and 30 getting (basically) 20 mins Saturday service. 9 getting weekend service in general is great, and hopefully it is timed for those who connect to the GO train at Mount Pleasant. 50 getting a routing change in Etobicoke is really unexpected, but I understand it. The...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Wait… why would they bring back the 21 directly to Union? The very same reason it was detoured to begin with which was due to summer traffic, will now get even worse due to Gardiner construction which will make this route completely unbearable. It would’ve been better if they would go to...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

Its cool that they still tried to do this despite the shortage. Hopefully in the long run we do see an increase as it’s great to see the better local transit agency do this, the ones that can actually improve the service, and its bidirectional too. No shade to YRT, but if they even got to...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

Bolton service (41) will be in service starting on April 29, it has already been implemented in the transit schedules. It seems like it will only be running every 2 hours but if ridership does well we could see an increase as we did with the 81 which is the other route that goes into Caledon.
