I'm now tempted to take bets that LT just doesn't get off the ground - at least not in this incarnation - and that CanAlfa has to relaunch it with higher prices in order to secure financing. That said, what do I know?

If prices DO drop dramatically, I hope to buy my first home (not a condo). That is, if I haven't been laid off :)

Ick - could Liberty Towers be one of those "high profile condo projects"?? When was the latest economic viability extension to expire? What was the latest date they said construction would start? Any sign of anything at the site?

First occupancies of this building are in about 6 weeks. At this rate, Monarch's 3rd phase will be topped out before CanAlfa ever gets moving on Liberty Towers and Bliss...

Thanks for the shots, Solaris. I'm liking it more and more. I enjoy how thin the tower is and the green glass, while not the best, is nicer all over. Glad it doesn't have the interspersed brick and pre cast like BP.

Can you speculate on what exactly might be holding CanAlfa up? Going back in this thread, I see they are coming up on two years behind schedule to start construction (and, sorry Canalfa, but printing "under construction" in Condo Guide doesn't make it so.)

How many people on this thread are moving into Zip?

I was wondering about this too, given the problems in the markets in recent days. I really do worry that this project of Canalfa's will not get off the ground due to financing and be the first everyone points to to illustrate how the U.S. credit crisis has hit the supposedly unstoppable Toronto...
