    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

Good thing we don't have to depend on your and Doug Ford's opinions to justify this project, when their are experts and studies to show that this project is not warranted.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

What people fail to understand and what politicians repeatedly neglect is that induced demand negates and "relief" benefits that additional road capacity brings. Just as with additional transit being built, people adapt their habits when capacity is increased (in this case, more people get cars...

They don't need experts when their own government's reports acknowledge the project has dubious value with the way the government is spinning it.

Leave that in the fantasy forum.

    GO Transit Midtown Corridor

I also don't think comparing ourselves to Europe is the worst. Germany isn't altogether that different when it comes to density of cities when we're comparing to the GTA or Montreal.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

From all indications the Sheppard extension is less than a drawing on a napkin, so accurate connections to GO lines isn't surprising.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

“Right now, our 400-series highways are clogged with gridlock. Ask anyone who drives on them, and you’ll hear the same thing: They’re not suitable for the current needs of Ontarians,” Ford said Hmmmmmm, ever heard of this thing called tolls to better manage supply on the 401 and 403? Blasphemy...

Maybe that's a good development, acknowledging that we need to change our behaviours and choose to invest in more sustainable types of transportation (ie. Transit).

It's lovely how proponents always pull this bag of facts out of the woodwork to support their opinions. How about studies that show living near highways has significant affects on health (neurological, respiratory, etc.)

    GO Transit Midtown Corridor

It bothers me to no end that people listen to his ridiculous and outlandish ideas.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

It's imperative that Hamilton get better service, with it becoming a bedroom community in the GTA it is a laggard in service compared the rest of the metropolitan area.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Eventually there will have to be a heavy rail crosstown line, whether that's along the midtown CP rail corridor or further north along Sheppard.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

They have a budget, but infinite is an amusing joke. The reason they make parts is because there is no budget for procuring newer equipment.

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

People living near Royal Orchard don't want it nor does the lack of existing and potential density support it. Cummer will likely be added or a high density project will contribute towards costs is my prediction.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Except the Viva bus has shown how much demand there will be when it is replaced with the line 1 extension. I think with Richmond Hill's town centre plans Ontario line being extended passed Eglinton will probably have to be accelerated.

Which is think is generally fine, especially if stations are built over eventually.

    Montréal Transit Developments

I was going to reference the exact same project. Was it complex and expensive? Sure, but it's not the impossibility that is being disseminated to the media.

    Montréal Transit Developments

It's a pretty subjective opinion; many people reference the skytrain as an example. This isn't a fair comparison, as it is elevated in an almost exclusive suburban or industrial environment.

    Montréal Transit Developments

I'm referencing the opinion that I and many others hold/are concerned; regardless of measures taken, having it above ground will be visually obtrusive and unappealing compared to below ground.
