  1. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Adelaide Square | 185.1m | 58s | Fengate | Arcadis

I don't know why, but I find such massing diagrams more pleasing to look at than full-colour renders.
  2. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 299m | 90s | Menkes | a—A

Come on guys, stop futzing around down there.
  3. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | 505 University | 212.89m | 64s | Cartareal Corp | BDP Quadrangle

Always a good day when Northern Light hits us with some info.👍
  4. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

Grey, grey, and more grey, but hey, what is there to say?
  5. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | 191 Eglinton East | 178.19m | 52s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

Eh, I think it's less disgusting than thoroughly banal.
  6. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

I hope it starts shooting up soon. There was a time when it seemed this would be catching up to The One, but that is no longer a possibility.
  7. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Barely a day goes by without a photo update of The One. I think a little side convo is actually a refreshing change from the photo bombardment.
  8. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | 645 Yonge | 280m | 76s | KingSett Capital | AS + GG

It's a gangly design, with the two bifurcated wedges, one sharp, the other rounded. It looks like an awkward collision of two different buildings, but I don't hate it. It would be something different.
  9. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

^Hey, we'll take it. At that rate, it will top out in about a year.
  10. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

To those of you in the know, like Northern Light, what do you think is the chance this thing gets built as currently specified?
  11. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | 212 King Street West | 250m | 80s | Dream Office | SHoP

The height reduction is, as the kiddies these days say, totes lame.
  12. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | 83 Bloor West | 260.25m | 77s | Parallax | Arcadis

The "improved architecture" comment seems to have been redacted. Are we expecting a height reduction, Northern Light?
  13. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | Chelsea Green (was 33 Gerrard) | 297.25m | 90s | Great Eagle | a—A

Agreed. I love the dark facades and minimalist boxiness. They look well over 300m now.
  14. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Pity they aren't erecting both simultaneously.
  15. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | 415 Yonge | 231m | 66s | Marwest | Kirkor Architects

I reckon I'm alone in liking it. That always seems to be the case.
  16. Strange Advance

    Toronto Toronto | Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | Kohn Pedersen Fox

No permit? Are the Three Stooges running the show here?
