I figure that once they have the swing stage/window cleaning platform installed they'll use that to go down and touch up all the spots they couldn't reach from the balconies.

I agree, I wouldn't be surprised if once the podium was complete they used a jumping crane like they did with the west tower once the core is established.

There's a better close up photo from inside the BAC on CTV http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/glass-falls-from-trump-tower-hotel-damaging-cars-1.1038561 Looks like it was hit from something above, you can see damage to the panels directly above.

I believe 265 Queens Quay is the parking lot across from HTO Park, at least that's what google earth came up with.
