Struggling to get 10 storeys on this side of the tracks, and getting 20+ storeys on the East side of Tracks? Density designed by a good architect in a midrise built-form typology is not the enemy.

Wow...that is scandalous. One of the stranger decisions I have ever read. A single row of Townhome units and a semi or detached home on Weybourne is technically permitted as-of-right in the ZBL. Decision doesn't even mention that. Smells really fishy to me.

This is really bad for the development industry. Not an easy game when construction costs are moving up at a faster pace than sales prices. I was looking forward to seeing this building in real life. Renderings looked good.

Looks like aA is doing the architecture! Great news for mid-rise fans. Hopefully Planning staff and City Councillor Perks support this one. I believe they fought this developer's Sorauren project all the way to the OMB and then awarded them and urban design award for best mid-rise. go figure...

I guess this is what you get when a bunch of finance guys start developing buildings on their own. Buildings start to look like excel spreadsheets. Ha.

This project looks awesome so far. Curious to see how the finishing details pan out. The steel structure sure went up fast. Wonder what the cost premium was like for steel?

Fair enough. Not sure I'd call this a "major issue", but perhaps these projects will provide the necessary impetus for the City to actually give this messy intersection some attention.

Actually over capacity? Or just a busy Toronto intersection that happens to be poorly designed? I'd personally get rid of the Old Weston cut through and clean it up.
