What a shame. Bulldog makes a mean latte, but one of the other reasons I loved going there was because of their killer patio on Granby. It's so charming, especially during the fall. Here's to hoping the move to Gerrard will be a big success to them. Maybe will attract some Ryerson students?

+1 It's grown on me a lot, especially the upper portion of the tower.

The restaurant that replaced the Vic is called House Maison. I haven't been since late summer, but it's not bad. A bit overpriced for what you get in my opinion, but pretty good food. Wasn't too impressed by Garage when I went. And finally, the Church Bistro which replaced the amazing Church...

I wish they kept with the retail portion within this structure, but I'm sure the new retail at Union Station in the PATH will serve this area fine.

Glad they came to a deal. The renderings look amazing. So so glad they got rid of the glass portion above the Dominion Public Building.

I had an awful experience there last year, with a very undercooked burger. My friend kept convincing me to go back and give it another try, and it looks like things have turned around in the last year. Great fish/chips and butter chicken grilled cheese.

I'll get shot for being "pretentious" on this forum, but Smith just north of Wellesley is great for brunch. Hair Of The Dog has always been one of my favorites for dinner and drinks. As for the pub corner (Church/Maitland), my choice is the newly renovated Firkin.

From what I hear, the old Body Shop location at Church and Wellesley closed because of an ending franchise agreement, not due to low sales. They're reopening on Church Street due to customer demand from residents in The Village, and also to make up for a lost location on Bloor Street which...

I think the height of this building + Aura will set a nice precedent for all the new construction surrounding. Finally, one of the major streets in Toronto is gaining height. Guarantee the remaining block east of Yonge and south of Gerrard will be completely transformed within the next decade.

Okay, Aura has really grew on me. They did a great job with the crown.

As a student at Ryerson, dropping out of the TTC debate simply shows disrespect to young voters or student voters. Very disappointed.

I don't mind this building either. I like how it adds density to Queens Quay. It animates this part of the street more.

Aw, that's too bad. Maggie's was a pretty good cheap brunch option.
