    Church-Wellesley Village

Went by the LED lights tonight. Insanely packed, the lights have been extremely popular.

Wow, the LED lights look INCREDIBLE.

I am so proud of my neighborhood lately! The park is exceeding my expectations - especially with the hanging lights which will look amazing at night time. The murals and the spectrum public art are really bringing character to the Village. Now we just need the streetscape improvements get...

    377 Church St. @ Granby (demolish & rebuild 2nd & 3rd flr)

Hopefully doesn't affect Bulldog Coffee. I love Granby, one of my favorite side streets in the downtown core.

Yep, looks like RBC is confirmed for the space. Oddly though, the for lease sign is still up. I'm assuming they haven't taken it down. The new Starbucks is really really nice. When my friend was saying it was the most expensive renovation Starbucks Canada has done, I believe it. The attention...

    Starting to look amazing!

Why so much KWT hate on here? I don't agree with all of her politics, and some of her ideas don't turn out as expected like the original mural projects. Then again, with Barbara Hall Park and the rainbow crosswalks looking spectacular, she's taking the public's input quite well, she listens to...

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

They've done a really good job to the lobby. I went by this weekend. The ceilings are dropped and painted red, with very small LED lights that give off a starry night effect. Heading up the escalators from the basement, they've also added an LED curved screen that matches the one they're...

Very valid point. Especially the whole "perfect family" image (mom, dad, son, daughter). They also do it for interracial couples too, as well as cultural groups. Anything to be more inclusive, which I really do like!

Keyword was again. I'm not saying they're faking the whole "gay pride" thing, but it's just marketing. Pulling the heartstrings of the gay community, and it works for them!

Can we at least have some optimism until the entire podium is complete  Keep in mind this podium will change dramatically with the LED glass + once the store signage is up. Of course it looks funny right now, it's not very animated and nothing's inside.

Looks like TD hopped on to the Pride bandwagon again this year!

Not too sure about that! They could always move the house to the front of the street and build the condominium behind it, sort of like James Cooper Mansion. The other rumor I heard is the owner has to operate both patios as "separate establishments" based on the fact the mansion is split into...

Thought that curved glass looked a bit funny at first. As they add more levels above, it actually looks really cool!

Rumor on the street is condo plans are expected here - the reason for the short-term lease.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

There's three retail units at the base here.

From a friend off Facebook They're also painting the building on the south-west corner of Church/Wellesley

Only if Quizinos wasn't going down and/or was much cheaper. Their chicken subs are everything.

I was just saying this yesterday when I was with Jack. It looks incredibly looking at it from that view - it's unfortunate when you ultimately view the lack of attention to detail up close.

Barbara Hall Park is starting to take shape quite nicely, looking to be ready just in time for World Pride. The black and white tiles on the west side of the park have been put in place. The mural is starting to take shape as well - looking extremely good in my opinion. Probably the best out of...
