Those colonnades are "prohibited" by the Downtown Tall Buildings Guidelines. I guess this got approved before they were adopted by council.

Low-Carbon Condo (Sherbourne & Carlton, Options for Homes, 32s, ?)

Ratios of 0.3 are being approved all the time. You can't lower requirements because a building will be on a transit line, when said transit line is already under-serviced and over-capacity. It is bad planning. I don't think foreign investors want parking, and that's why it often doesn't sell...

    Cabbagetown

I think we can all agree that British beer is a great option... ...when Germany and Belgium aren't on tap.

    Church-Wellesley Village

I especially love the fences and pipes side-walk art. An homage to the gritty bathhouses of the 70's.

Holy crap Toronto, don't eff this up. Let's hope the developer feels the need to out-shine the neighbor across Yonge.

Mystic is being a dick, but those markers are God awful. Like horrible.

Is there some kind of fly / bug invasion going on last week or so ?

My 30something floor balcony is full of these things and bees right now...

2014 Municipal Election: Toronto Mayoral Race

Every discussion that nfitz participates in degenerates into the same repetitive drivel that oozes on for pages and pages. Those who respond are just as complicit in thread after thread turning into a stream of diarrhea. Everyone try to look forward and move on.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

That is a risky move; some undecideds I know are not impressed with him right now. He could give a down-and-out Chow an opening here.... but he could also just step back into stride at his next big next big debate. I think that would be the next debate Doug participates in.

I'm sure the rich buyers like it because it is safe and has the air of luxury like something Gluckstein would do. They will find satisfaction in the chunky mirrors and Rococo wall moldings of the interiors.

    Toronto Toronto | BMO Field Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | Gensler

And with the recent circus + Defoe's impending departure, they should probably think about folding up the franchise completely...

Would love to see this done in painted EIFS.

First Step - Fire your property manager?

Is the 25th year when buildings start to lean on their reserve funds?

    Toronto Toronto | 159SW Condos | 118.87m | 36s | Alterra | Richmond Architects

A crew has been on site doing soil testing for the last week. Conditional sale? Or are they trying to make the listing more appealing by attaching the presumably positive results?

Kartelle Lofts on Queen (at Pape, Kartelle, 4s, ?) (was Film Studio Lofts) COMPLETE

From my knowledge, Kartelle is about to start work. No reason to think they won't. Perhaps they don't want to speak with youngstreetmedia.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

LOL, so he is going to turn this into referendum on umbrellas.

2014 Municipal Election: Toronto Mayoral Race

I think all those people who "kinda" like Soknacki, but probably won't end up voting for him, should donate to his campaign. If you want him to gain momentum, he needs money. I am in this camp, and will probably donate tonight.
  18. Roy G Biv

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Question: How will you control Councillor spending? Chow: I will not abolish free programs for our poorest kids... Politicians are the worst. Soknacki is the best isn't he.... even said he would raise taxes.
