    Condo Crunch (CBC's Marketplace)

Somebody needs to buy from a plan in order for existing units to exist. If everyone took your advise there would be no resale market. Maybe everyone should just buy used cars too. And if you buy a new car and you ordered silver, but get green... how could the manufacture possible remember...

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

I saw this with my own eyes the other day. I couldn't believe what I was seeing... terrible design. Sigh... Why am I surprised!!?

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

If this is true, this puts Neo 16 months behind schedule and counting I suppose. Everyone should note that Neo and Montage have different occupancy dates... so there might be some confusion with matching up the dates to the right project. With Neo already crowned, and interior work well...

    CityPlace: West One

Vaughan is such a class act... his solution is to pass on this mess to the next project... nice. I believe Neo is targeted for completion in May 2008. Not sure how long it takes to build a bridge but... come on!?

The terrible photo is tragic! Camera phone?

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

Summer will be back soon enough. :)

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

In the context of Cityplace... I'm liking Neo/Montage the best so far. At first I didn't think I would like the brick, but I think it looks pretty sharp in real life. Wish Montage had gotten this treatment too.

    CityPlace School

“You have a really interesting community beginning to emerge down there..." That's probably the nicest thing Vaughan has said about Cityplace to date.

Video shows man calm before being tasered in Vancouver

I couldn't believe what I saw in the video. I'm just so outraged; disgusting. Video here: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2007/11/14/bc-taservideo.html

    Harvey's (The decline of?)

Harvey's at Dufferin and Lawrence was rebuilt recently. Looks nice and clean now, food tastes fresh too. I think they need to apply the same treatment to all their locations. I don't think people are turned off by the food but the dinginess of some of their older shops

A good funiture store in woodbridge

Looks like furniture you would expect to see in the burbs...

    Federal Economic Statement

I will enjoy my 1% reduced GST as I walk on cracked sidewalks, past dead trees to the streetcar stop and wait an hour for an overcrowded and rundown car and pay my $3 ticket so that it will take me on pot-holed roads to a closed ice rink that is filled with uncollected garbage. But I’m...

    Building Delays

The problem with all these delays is that there is a lack of accountability by many of these developers. Even the sales people have trouble keeping a straight face when quoting outrageously optimistic completion dates. I think that if the laws set stricter controls on delivery variances...

    Building Delays

I agree this is an area that I definitely think needs more regulation. Condo purchase agreements are always tilted in the favour of the builder with little room for negotiations. The ones that will negotiate are usually smaller builders with higher risk projects. Expect things like: They can...

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

Still liking the concept of this project. Still not quite shibuya...

    CityPlace: West One

Now I remember the name of the Bathurst/Carr project: "Gardens at Queen". All the detailing is precast. Even the rails on the terrace at top don’t actually have any gaps, they're just bumps on a solid surface.

    CityPlace: West One

The last set of townhouses attached to a condo that I checked out up close was this (Monet): Now that is puke. Or maybe people would have prefered something like that nasty faux-european townhome complex at Carr and Bathurst?
  18. A

    CityPlace: West One

I just don't get all the concern about these townhouses. I went and had a look in person. Have to say... love them! Love the design, love the function! Flat roofs were a good use of space: Rooftop patio! And they integrate well with the courtyard; there are very few inward looking residences...

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

Brick = Neo. Black = Montage.
