    Toronto Toronto | RBC WaterPark Place III | 140.2m | 30s | Oxford Properties | WZMH

This project has moved along at a blinding speed. If only every condo, park, hospital, and subway was paid for by a massive corporation!

If Toronto gets the Olympics, does she need to build another stadium?

Dear infrastructure and athletics enthusiasts, If we were to host a Summer Olympics, would we need to build another stadium, equal to or larger than the Rogers Centre? I'd imagine we'd need another soccer-friendly stadium to host the soccer tournament. But would we need a Beijing Bird's...

There and several hundred dirty washroom stalls.

    Toronto Toronto | Women's College Hospital | 70.1m | 10s | P.E.B.

It looks disgusting and unfortunate, but it serves a higher purpose and has been built with non-profit money. If this was a condo or bank tower I'd be up in arms.

    Toronto skyline

When the Waterfront is completed, Queens Quay from Parliament to Bathurst, will essentially be a giant park. And the Islands are a fantastic park downtown. To say that they are not accessible is to say you're lazy. It takes 15 minutes on a boat to get there, and riding a boat is half the fun!

    Toronto Toronto | L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

This building will be a success. I've loved and hated it so many times, back and forth, but I'm finally at peace. The blue will be a nice touch on the skyline. We've now got major skyscrapers that are blue, red (Scotia), white (FCP), black (TD), silver (Commerce), gold (RBC). Not to mention...

    Toronto Toronto | Residences at the RCMI Condos | 134.72m | 42s | Tribute | Zeidler

I know you're joking, but to be serious: that a building this tall, with such a small footprint, jammed between two other high-rises, is even getting built is a feat of great planning and engineering. There must be some other towers being built in Toronto for you to marvel at. Oh wait...

No offense steveveveve, but I don't really care. Density/good architecture overall > viewscapes

Was that a joke? Aren't these things supposed to porcelain white? It would be a shame if this waterfront monument became a tribute to Soviet architecture.

Some (not all) of the walkway's walls will be replaced with glass--this will mitigate the barrier effect. This has been brought up many times in this thread.

    Toronto Toronto | Ryerson: Jarvis Street Residence | 97.53m | 30s | Ryerson University | IBI Group

This is even more reason to keep bike lanes on Jarvis. A great addition to the skyline, neighbourhood, and the university.

    Toronto Toronto | The Brixton | 45.41m | 12s | CentreCourt | Graziani + Corazza

As someone who lives in the area, it's discouraging to think that so many UT members demand unfettered gentrification.

U of T: Munk School of Global Affairs (Bloor & Devonshire, KPMB) COMPLETE

This is a very ugly addition. Maybe when the new athletic research facility is built, it will hug this addition and all that will be visible is the glass.

Haha! That's LSD Cru. I happen to know those guys. They're nuts. There isn't public washroom, back alley wall, or rooftop in Toronto that hasn't been touched by them.

Southcore Financial Ctr: PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower (18 York St, bcIMC, 26s, KPMB)

It's a great looking bridge. It is a shame though that the north side was not afforded the glass treatment. I would have been thrilling for pedestrians and Go passengers alike. Also, it would be less of a visual barrier between the core and the waterfront.

If being a hipster includes having unpretentious parks, bike riding, human-scale, art galleries, nice restaurants, boutiques, transit, and being around well-dressed people, then call me a hipster! I live in Parkdale. It is a great neighbourhood. Cityplace is homogenous, sterile and...
