Condo Upgrade: Cost of Gas Line for BBQ on Balcony?

InFlame.ca has some electric grills as well... So far from the research I've done they have mostly mediocre reviews. Something to look out for though! http://inflame.ca/InFlame/docs/CANADIAN_PRICE_LIST_Web_Version_2011_01nov10.pdf

    Washer/Dryer in Condo

I don't know if this exists but maybe you can get a switch installed on the floor that if it detect water it cuts power to the washer immediately.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Not really worthy of it's own thread... http://blogs.forbes.com/robertlenzner/2011/01/12/us-banks-reporting-phantom-income-on-1-4-trillion-delinquent-mortgages/?boxes=Homepagechannels Interesting little tidbit on shady goings-ons in with US banks and foreclosed homes.

Thanks for this Willy. Yes we do have a realtor and already fastracked to finishing an offer after finding out some of our own details. :)

    Main and Danforth

We're currently looking to buy a home in this area, close to the subway. Is there anything I should be aware of? It doesn't seem to have changed much visually in the last 20 years but I hear a lot of younger couples are buying in this area since it's still pretty affordable. Thanks for any...

London on the Esplanade Condos (Cityzen) - Real Estate -

Actually, we are getting a concierge. It was allotted for in the new budget which is part of the reason the condo fees went up... that and HST. With the 10% increase we're actually sitting where we should be at around 50c a sq ft. , especially with all the amenities we have.

Sounds like your heat unit is on the fritz. By default it heats up the room to 2 degrees above your set temp and then shuts off. I kinda like the accents they're putting in. While they don't say London to me they're pretty good over all.

It's almost complete... last bit of tile was going in last I looked and all the machinery is in place downstairs. So I imagine it will be operational next spring. I think the hot tub is supposed to be all year though so... not sure when that will open.

I'm pretty sure corner units are going for around $600 SF There's been 3 units listed on MLS for 600k and have disappeared from listings within a month. Most listing on MLS are still developers units I believe. One specifically is the Demo Suite. Their particular units are overpriced.

    Condo Balcony - Decking

I just bought the boards that I posted above from Rona. I think they're pretty nice partially laid out.... I'm hoping to cut them this weekend and once they're done I'll post a few pics

Developers monopolizing condo board through proxy votes

I didn't say I believed that they weren't run as corporations. What I said is they should, emphasis on should, future tense, not be run as corporations. This is a discussion about the problems with condo boards not my unawareness of how they work which I have already admitted as much to. Please...

Developers monopolizing condo board through proxy votes

Residential buildings should not be treated like a corporation. They are the homes where people expect to be able to have say in the decisions that affect their surroundings. Voting in a condo should be similar to voting in a member of council. Thanks Eldona for your insight. It looks like you...

Developers monopolizing condo board through proxy votes

The developer can be considered to have a conflict of interest. Voting in who they want can lead to not getting fixes done on the building. I am not saying that my experience is going to turn sour but I am saying that this system is easily corruptable. And why does someone who owns more of the...

Developers monopolizing condo board through proxy votes

This mainly applies to the glut of units that is left when the condo is registered. A small amendment to the Act that limits voting of the developer would probably be enough to prevent problems.
