Doubt it. Don’t see any permit for fit-out of the space yet. Between getting the permit and doing the actual work, I’m not sure you’ll be eating apples this year.

The scale of this street is nearly perfect. Wish every non-arterial in MCC was built like this.

Saw it in some interview about the neighbourhood’s retail. Don’t remember where but it was pretty recent.

It opens in December, so plenty of time to keep shuffling things around in the meantime.

I don’t think anyone is expecting a 2024 opening at this point. 2025 is being floated around as late 2024 was just for completion and didn’t include testing.

There are only 3 routes along the entire Transitway that actually use the Transitway (Not including GO Transit). That was certainly the initial thought behind it, but it never really became that.

This one also has free parking so that shouldn’t be an impediment. The lack of visibility definitely is though. That said, I find the LCBO to be pretty dead compared to the predecessor across the street as well, and they have the prime retail space.

Says who? Nearly every new building has a canopy or overhang for weather protection and wind mitigation.

Re: 3 - there’s a nearly brand new BRT already doing exactly that.

Those kinds of deals disappeared with the end of S.37. Developers can’t simply gift land anymore without it being considered a CBC, which is capped at 4% of the assessed land value.

I wonder if the BMO in CityPlace is relocating here, or if this is a new branch. Really hoping it’s moving as that would free up a good retail space on Fort York Blvd for something better than a bank!
