Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Not as part of the subway construction though. There's no guarantee yet that will happen as far as I know. The subway design drawings are based on the assumption that it won't happen - but could be done one day. They show it the same way that they show the Line 4 and Line 7 connections at the...

Ah, that's an interesting and helpful way of looking at it. Though Orange is on 8th much more than 6th; and most of my riding on it has been in the Bronx and Brooklyn on neither! Similarly Red spends more time on Broadway than on 7th. Oh if only we could have such issues to worry about here .... :)

So no opening until at least October. First chance is December as I believe we only get updates every 2 (or 3) weeks. January 2025 board (as if ...)?

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Technically I suppose, but given how frequently TTC staff break this rule - I've barely ever entered Coxwell station and not seen an operator do this - and there isn't even a walking path. At some stations there's literally a raised concrete path (albeit a bit narrow) that makes it 100% safe...

I used to think it was pink. But then TTC dropped pink for Line 8 (Jane) in a document a few years ago.

Entirely possible. Neither Metrolinx cocking up by using the same colour twice, nor printing it wrong. I'd generally assume it was a cock-up on the figure - it always the simplest explanation. Except that they've started using the same, or very similar, colour on the Line 10 signage. I hadn't...

Dundas St Rapid Transit (Metrolinx, Mississauga, Halton Region, CoT)

What's the current bus frequency? If it's 6 lanes, why not just make one lane buses only, and run every 5 minutes or so, and see what the ridership looks like?

What about the years-long evening closure of Line 1 north of Eglinton?

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

In my mind, I'd barely call Line 4 purple. Looks more magenta to me. I'm not sure I'd call that Line 3 colour "darker purple" either. Who knows what Metrolinx is thinking. They had the Exhibition relief subway plan around for years, seldom appearing in public, until the day they announced the...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

TTC has already shown the colours of Line 7 and 8 on various documents. But there's certainly nothing happening, other than the continuing City consultation for Line 7 - which we've been discussing here at length since it got it's EA approved when Miller was mayor. I'm not sure why Line 3...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I don't see how that has any relevance given they aren't branded as subways, nor are the GO lines numbered. I just don't Line 3 and Line 10 using the same colours. Particular with some Metrolinx plans showing the Don Mills leg of Line 3 being extended to Mississauga.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

It's way too close to the darker cyan they are already using in Line 10 signage. A lighter cyan would work somewhere.

Dundas St Rapid Transit (Metrolinx, Mississauga, Halton Region, CoT)

You aren't going to skip Sherway Gardens though. The 2002 RTES study had 2 stations between Kipling and Dixie. But that's not really your point. I'm think Hazel should have pushed the Line 2 extension to MCC, rather than the Mississauga Transitbust.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

The line 3 blue, or perhaps a darker shade of it, is being used by line 10.

    General railway discussions

I don't know about southbound (why wouldn't they just clear at the Vancouver train station?) but northbound, the Amtrak staff does a passport check when you board, and they just submit this to Canada customs. Perhaps if they need to remove someone they stop, but I don't remember my train...

They are two very different shades of purple. Many cities have different shades of the same colour, as there's only so many colours in the spectrum. Line 4 is not dissimilar to the Metropolitan line in London, while this purple is closer to the Elizabeth line. Even here, the proposed Line 7...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The proposed Flemingdon Park station location is already near the north end of the Flemingdon Park area. The actual park being closer to Overlea than the proposed Flemingdon Park station location. There's a lot of development in the area, particularly in the northeast sector of the Don...

Sorry for the late reply @devvydoesstuff I finally got a chance to redownload the 48 MB PDF (PLN - Linked Document - 60%Design_WAY0-0001.pdf), and if you look near the top corner of Page 4 the Line 3 signage is in colour. It's the August 1, 2023 document called "Plans and Drawings" under...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The Line 2 platforms are under McCowan and the east-site of McCowan, centred around Progress.. Why the entrance to the station is on the southeast corner, with no connection to the west side (or northeast corner) is beyond me. There is however a west-side knock-out panel in the centre of the...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I'd have though 2B had more extension opportunities, given the SRT and rail corridors to get back to Markham and Sheppard and maybe into Malvern - and then also on to UTS if it's still around decades from now.
