Twenty Gothic (High Park, Monarch, 8s, &Co)

Dunno what all the fuss is about. It fits in quite nicely...take a picture from the front, on Gothic Avenue. Nice recessed terrace, L-shaped building, titanium window frames. One needs to look at the whole picture.

Seriously, it is not quite the same. Still a nice building, but it now does lack the 'WOW' factor.

The ruined it! Damn you, Damn you all to hell! (With apologies to The Planet of The Apes).

    Whole Foods

I heard that the Sears on-site was fighting it, for some reason. Too bad. It would be nice to have one nearby, although I only purchase items that are on sale. They are pricey!

In good times, anything sells. In bad times, people become more selective. Trying to sell a unit that exposes you to a neighbour across the street who is always scratching his fat....'CAT' would be a turn-off.

Why the housing market is not set to melt down

Now, those stats are just plain crazy. Absolutely no justification for such increases.

    TO prices up or down?

Next spring will be the true test of where we are.

Giraffe Living Condos (TAS DesignBuild) - Real Estate -

Plans not bad. Generally, I don't approve of two bathrooms in one-bedroom units, but here, it works. Also, like the fact that many units have walk-in closets in the bedroom. They should sell quickly, IF well-priced.

Park Lake Residences (Pemberton, 2x 18s, Burka)

That is correct. The first three floors above grade are designated for parking.

    Toronto's condo market booms

The old view that when the U.S. sneezes, Canada catches a cold still holds true, to a degree. The only problem is that, this time, the U.S. has the flu. Fortunately, Canada has universal health-care, and should be reasonably well protected. This health-care is a tighter monetary policy, a...

Tridel would do wonders for this site. I believe it is 'The Georgian Group' who own and wish to develop the land. They have not been successful.

All that glass IS nice. The problem is with developers putting up buildings in tight spots. The road between Glas and the next lot is really only an alleyway. Hence, the problem.

    Toronto Toronto | Gläs Condos | ?m | 16s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Two years ago, when I went to the sales office, I noticed that one's south-facing view would be blocked with an eventual development. The salesperson seemed unfazed, and agreed that, yes, it would. Now, what is the sense of having all that 'glass', only to cover it up so as not to expose...

Park Lake Residences (Pemberton, 2x 18s, Burka)

Yes. I remember visiting the '2nd' attempt at marketing a condo on this site. The floor plans were terrible. It is such a good site, it is a shame the developer could not be more creative. I view it as an area more for those leaving their large homes in the area. Hence, the plans should...

    TO prices up or down?

I suspect that 'downtown' condos will loose their value more quickly than those in 905, simply because there are a lot more of them, and they tend to be more investor-driven. It really depends on the building. Location X 3 will always be a factor. Regardless, long-term in a big city like YYZ...

Toronto Star - Canadian housing crisis warning

And, I really would avoid buying pre-construction into those outrageously-priced new downtown condominium projects currently being marketed. Buy re-sale, and save yourself the grief!
