You can tell that the 2017 plans deferred to the height of the Canada Life Tower as remaining the prominent height element. I think you'd have a hard time building something that would overshadow it.

From the Broadway Subway project: Tunnel Liners. Each ring has 6 segments and a rail bed of concrete is poured. Elevated section (using girders and crossheads, not prefab post-tensioned segments), then concrete is poured on top:

Looks like for Phase 2 the canopy extends over the rail deck, whereas it doesn't for Phase 1.

Yeah, messy details = strange wedge-shaped windows.
