Hell, I hope Olivia Chow declares that she’s in the race, soon. Sure she’s a former insider but she hasn’t been a part of the deterioration that has taken place during the last 13 years. No blood on her hands.

Problem is that Toronto elected two incompetent mayors in a row, Ford and Tory. The suburban areas may just come through for Saunders.

At this point I’m inclined to reject any “insiders”. Tarring them all with the same brush is bad, I know, but considering the city’s current state, I keep thinking “guilty” wrt all the present in-city-hall candidates. Sorry Josh Matlow - you tried hard but you didn’t build alliances. Olivia...

I’d enjoy Smitherman. He’d be a colourful retreat from the one-note dullards who seem to win office; he is certainly not a wishy washy sort. Gotta relieve this city from the tedious types.
