    Mississauga Toronto | 1 Village Centre Place | ?m | 50s

This doesn’t really count but Mississauga has the UP Express and will get the Line 5 extension at Renforth.

    Streetcar Tracks on Adelaide

Tracks poured and covered for the segment east of Yonge.
  3. SaugeenJunction

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

As someone who drives the line often I’d say Q3 or Q4 2025 for phase 1. Whenever the downtown loop begins construction, I’d say 2 years for that element. For the Brampton extension, I have no clue. It really depends if it is being buried or running on the surface.

    Streetcar Tracks on Adelaide

Some progress on the section east of Yonge that was missing track:

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Confederation’s station building looks to be coming along well! The platforms a bit slower though. I guess the target opening is 2025 so we have time.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Kerr was cancelled by Metrolinx because it was going to cost $230 million. Any other grade crossings aren’t on Metrolinx’s radar for separation, and it’s up to the Town to fund it. Chartwell was been proposed for a flyunder in Oakville’s Midtown Plan update.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Though what you propose (and what has been talked about lots here) is a good idea, it’s really not a priority compared to other regional projects. I’d rather GO focus on establishing service to new locales, like Brantford, Bolton, and a proper London Extension.

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

So great to see track laying south of the 403 ramping up.

    Vaughan Toronto | CG Tower | 188.97m | 60s | Cortel Group | BDP Quadrangle

Oh that’s really really cool. The 905 has some real gems.

    Toronto Toronto | King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

Yes, it will be great. The UP Express won’t stop here, but the GO Pearson Line will.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Was digging through MERX - found this interesting tidbit about the Line 5 West Extension. Looks like Metrolinx will put out a competitive tender for additional Line 5 trains. Mixed Line 5 LRV fleet incoming? From the Stations, Systems, and Rail tender. Edmonton is doing a mixed fleet for the...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The current plan has the West Harbour tracks tying back into the CN mainline around the Mary Street pedestrian bridge IIRC.
  13. SaugeenJunction

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Well the good news is that it looks track-ready. What might slow it down is 1) the date CN has in mind for cutting it into their mainline and 2) the signalling commissioning date. I would assume that both those events are already scheduled and even if track laying happens tomorrow, those dates...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

It might look rough, but the Ontario Line will offset the lost tree’s environmental impacts thousands of times over.

St. Thomas Toronto | Volkswagen Battery Cell Factory | ?m | 1s | PowerCO SE

Found this on Facebook. CN is cleaning up its old Paynes Sub in St. Thomas. It was completely overgrown and impassable in recent years. It connects to the opposite side of St. Thomas from the VW plant, but has an old yard on it. CN might be planning to use it to store or marshal cars for the plant.

    Ontario Intercity Public Transit Discussion

I would suggest "inter-urban" or "inter-city". Sorry to nitpick. "Interurban" makes me think of this:

Toronto Toronto | Golden Mile Shopping Centre Redevelopment: Building F2 | 156m | 46s | Choice Properties | Giannone Petricone

Well that’s good news. I hope that if we can get a few Golden Mile projects off the ground, it creates momentum for others.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I wouldn’t read too much into it. Graphic designers aren’t transit planners and most of the rendering work isn’t done in-house.
