    Hudson's Bay Company

It's a little bit disappointing that the new corner at Yonge & Queen cuts off the pass-through that used to exist. It seems there was a missed opportunity here to make this area work better when the TTC re-tiled that stairwell down to the subway last year.

    Riverdale

Oh dear, that's not good news. I really hope they can find another space quickly. I'm fairly confident they'll re-open if they can find the right space - the place was always busy.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Last night I was riding a new car the 510 SB on Spadina to Union, but the operator announced at Bremner that it was short-turning at QQ & Spadina because "the car has to be reset". I've never heard of this, so I tweeted about it, and someone responded that this is a fairly regular occurrence on...

    Toronto Eaton Centre

It did renovate I think at the same time that CF completed renos on the lobby of the building at 20 Queen St W, but it was before the re-brand.

Welcome - and thanks - great additions! I do believe your second set are in the right spot, as railroad tracks used to bisect that block, which led to that strange angle (as shown in the post preceding yours).

    Regent Park Phase 3 General

I'm sure this has been asked/answered before, but what's the tl;dr of why they can't keep at least some of those mature trees?

Great - I'm sure they won't keep the amazing retro signage, though.

Oh? Enlighten me, please, with documentation.

    St Lawrence Market

They still have to finish off the actual intersection at Front & Sherbourne - I'm curious if that is part of this contract or not.

The ground floor units have been in active negotiations for literally 5+ years, but because of the financial issues the landlord hasn't signed off on them. There are multiple tenants going in there, and things should finally move forward soon.

The garbage can issue is especially galling. Over at Sherbourne Common they had beautiful stainless steel cans, and the City's contractor wouldn't touch them, so they were literally removed and replaced with those ugly monstrosity. Not sure which is worse - the waste at buying the nice cans...

You can, but it's definitely not yet complete. Frankly I'm surprised they removed the fencing considering how long it took them to remove fences for *actually completed* portions of this realm.

I see they've finally started dismantling the sales centre located in 100 Yonge. It looks like they may be repurposing it. Just a guess, though - I have no inside knowledge.

Now that it's nearing completion, it feels like the ground level work has slowed to a trickle. I cannot wait for that hoarding to come down along Adelaide and Yonge.

There is nothing _that_ wrong with any of the units here - it's just there are a lot of investor owned units and they're trying to cash in.

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

Pretty sure when John Tory was referring to Toronto whiners it was probably based on him reading these forums. The opening ceremonies was spectacular. Yes, there were less exciting parts, just as with any games. Overall it was fantastic. Maybe even... World Class. My only regret is not...

Thank heavens - I couldn't figure out why those fences were up for so long anyhow. Probably some legal conveyance issue.

I have no insight as to where that picture is from, but I agree that it's an amazing slice-of-life shot.

So happy they're putting readers at the back doors (I assume in addition to the front).
