North side of Queens Quay should be as tall as possible. But south side should by low/mid-rise, in my opinion.

I always wonder about the TCHC housing on the eastern side of downtown, directly north of the Gardiner and directly south of David Crombie park. It's a huge swath of land that to me appears to be prime for development/intensification - I would think it could easily fit a half dozen towers. It's...

I wish they had continued the white zig-zags across both towers. I know some may think it would be overbearing, but it would have been very unique - practically a tourist attraction in its own right.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but it appears that Organic Garage is no longer going in the base of this building: Organic Garage cancels Toronto water-front store

Interestingly, you can see they have started making changes to the crown. If you go back you can see in pictures that the south side of the crown used to have white markings on top of the black. In the most recent photos that area is completely black.

    Toronto Toronto | Tower at Pier 27 | 114.9m | 35s | Cityzen | a—A

They were doing soil sampling in the sales centre's parking lot last week, and surveyors have been roaming around the site. Perhaps they are gearing up for construction of the final phase? Last I heard (pre-COVID) Cityzen had severed the land for the last phase with the intention of selling it...

I love this art piece. "Disorienting" is a great way to describe it. It hurts my eyes to look at it too long. Give me more weird art - it really adds interest to the city.

    Tower at Pier 27 (Cityzen/Fernbrook) - Real Estate -

Has there been any indication from the developer as to when the building will register?

Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to me mad about here? I walked by this and the glass (while not curtain wall) is a deep and reflective blue that looks quite sharp, particularly with the dark grey mullion/frames. Looking at it I actually marvelled at how there appeared to be no spandrel at...

I think that's a bit of a cop-out answer by WT. My understanding is that WT has not dedicated funds (or requested additional funds) to construct the park yet because of a combination of factors, largely (a) the parking lot generates profit for WT, and (b) the space may be used to temporarily act...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the diamond-shaped Foster design was (and hopefully is) for the next phase of this development, i.e. the convention centre.

    Toronto Toronto | Tower at Pier 27 | 114.9m | 35s | Cityzen | a—A

The rendering is not accurate (i.e. just for promotional purposes). Per the site plan application, another building is going in that spot and where the sales centre is. The Fernbrook/Cityzen recently severed those plots from the rest of the site so that it can be sold to a different developer...

Noticed this too. Seems quite odd given that the fencing was promotional (for Aqualuna), don't see why they'd want to remove it unless necessary for construction, but on the other hand I don't believe construction is starting either.

Waterfront DRP document is now online. There doesn't seem to be much new to my eye. The document seems to almost entirely deal with the podium, though it does have some interesting details about that. There's some new renderings of the podium on pages 59-64 of the PDF, including what looks like...

    Toronto Toronto | Quay House | 73.15m | 21s | Empire | Kirkor

I wish they had stuck with the three shades of paneling (white/grey/black, as opposed to just white/grey), but I don't mind this one nearly as much as others seem to. Don't get me wrong, it's not an architectural wonder, but the buildings along QQE seem to each have their own unique style - it's...

    Toronto Toronto | Love Park | 3m | 1s | City of Toronto

Agreed. However, the federal government (and presumably provincial government, though I haven't seen anything yet) is talking about massive infrastructure spending in order to re-start the economy. I'm hopeful things like this park and the Rees park (and the QQE LRT to Union connection) are on...

    Toronto Toronto | L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

There were signs that said they're re-doing the lobby. I suspect COVID has paused that work.

    Toronto Toronto | Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

This park/POPS is bound to be underwhelming given it's in the shadow of the Gardiner and will be right beside a busy thoroughfare (Lake Shore). I have no hope at all, though more open space is better than less. It's too bad that they didn't put it on the SW portion of the site rather than the NW...

    Toronto Toronto | St Lawrence Condos at 158 Front | 91.44m | 26s | Cityzen | a—A

I fully agree. Pedestrianizing a few streets (Front, Yonge, and King are my votes) would drastically transform the city. I also think it would have relatively little impact on traffic - I walk to work along Yonge and it's bonkers seeing dozens of people on the sidewalks, all dodging around and...

    Toronto Toronto | 100 Queens Quay at Sugar Wharf | 117.34m | 25s | Menkes | B+H

That podium glass looks beautiful! To be clear, the podium appears to be divided into two - the smaller, northern portion is white (which doesn't look great) while the larger portion is dark. It appears for the dark portion they're going with that silver, mirror-like colour. I think that could...
