    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

are you saying each state would have it's own twitter? Like a California twitter and a Georgia twitter? and I guess a twitter for everyone outside the US which would be by far the largest component? would google, apple and any future platform be force to geolock everyone's twitter?

Since Cresford went bankrupt with their higher quality materials and concord remains strong and is finishing Cresford projects. It seems clear to me which one is the better developer.

you mean the design that the city rejected become it put a shadow for a couple of hours on Allen garden in fall? unless the city changes in reg. you will never see that design again

with 10 floors to go, i think this tower is safe

let's not forget that the end-user is the one ultimately paying for the S.37. so it's good for the city if you don't want more affordable units being built. The 40 million S37 adds about $100,000 to the cost of each unit in this building.

If that is what the market demands why is that a bad thing? if the market demands a bigger size unit then that is what will get built.

This building is having a bigger impact on the local skyline than i had thought its 15 storeys would have.

You really think the city would allow a 500m tower built anywhere int he city. I am sure some park or school would be in shadow for an hour a day in fall that would knock it down in size.

I like the reclad and I am looking forward to what appears to be LED lighting once complete

Looking great so far, let's hope they go all the way to the top.

although you didn't ask me the question, but if you go through the last 10 pages of this thread on skyscrapercity, CIBC Square will start looking generic https://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=210619&page=752

In a global context, there is nothing interesting about these towers going up as there are dozens of better-looking towers going up all over the world. but for Toronto, it's spectacular because we don't get many nice-looking office towers going up. Maybe the lighting feature will be world-class...

Make sense and it's good to hear that's the reason because when they replace the other signs, it should go a lot quicker since they have no curvature and are just flat rectangles.

Yes too tall, but more precisely where it shadows

    Toronto Toronto | 415 Yonge | 231m | 66s | Marwest | Kirkor Architects

the city rejected the proposal for being too tall and now the owner has sold the building

    Toronto Toronto | 700 Bay Street | 94.79m | 32s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

it's too bad we are not getting this version without knowing the details on this project, i am going to assume that the city thought this version was too tall and hence the re-design

once this tower starts to rise it will rise fast because it's so narrow. I am hoping for 2 floors a week after to podium
