I’m not sure about that. But the crane is taller than it was a few days ago - I think they inserted the section.

Hopefully the Don is starting to crest:

City employees are risk-averse - their jobs is to make decisions that will piss as few people off as possible. Unfortunately, making everything grey and uniform is the least risky choice.

There’s lots of information suggesting that it could happen. They are doing polling about it: https://globalnews.ca/news/10587054/ontario-early-election-poll/amp/

I sort of love the podium’s street level? And that restaurant is going to be niiiiiiiiice.

It’s a little blurry, but is that a crane section?

Do we know if U of T is going to replace the lawn? I'm sure it was damaged from the encampment.

I'm sure that ML worked extra hard to get the transit line in Dougie's riding finished! I'm hoping it opens sometime in the Fall - I might even be able to use it for my commute. Side note: I still think that big "T" is goofy as hell.

The styling on this is a true head-scratcher. Like, lazy, messy design, but we'll do it in the most absurd colour palette so everyone has to pay attention to it.

Well, I guess it's good that he didn't slip up and say "years to follow" - at least the outer bound is a year?

Like how this is turning out. Definitely giving "quiet luxury" vibes - not flashy, but fine-grained detail and charm.

Johnny Au is definitely trying to make fetch happen with his "Champagne Corner." I'm not sure whether persistence will be successful in getting people to refer to it that way, but hey, it's worked in the past, so I can see why he's trying it out. I'm not interested in calling it the Champagne...

    Toronto Toronto | Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I think a lot of the points above are correct, but at the end of the day, I think that "success" and "failure" are primarily just fancy ways of saying "I like this area" and "I don't like this area." People still live in "unsuccessful" neighbourhoods and like them, and feel happy in them. It...

    Toronto Toronto | Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

Nice to see that Markham is getting closer to reopening! Seeing it brings back memories in a weird, unexpected way - there's some areas of the city that are so tied to a part of one's life that seeing them after a long time feels sad. The magic that used to animate those spaces is gone...
