Wyliepoon, this render is amazing. Hard to believe what the area might look like and how it used to look 3 years ago. I think the developer will need to increase the podium height regardless. Good luck selling units below the level of the expressway.

    Toronto The New Residences of Yorkville Plaza | 92.05m | 31s | Camrost-Felcorp | WZMH COMPLETE

If it looks like that all the way up I think we're in for a treat.

I think some people on this forum are to quick to react. Relax people and wait to see it near completion before writing it off. I think this might be the first picture taken of the glass on a sunny day.

Yikes that's bad. Not somewhere I'd want to call home, a better mix use might be educational, or office on top. Hoping ours fits in better then a design like that would.

On a side note, 5 years ago 50 floors for a condo would have made most of us giddy.

Agreed DTGeek, and when they complain about afternoon winter shadows in Nathon Phillips Square how small town are some of these people at city hall? Not that this building is, but who will want to build an iconic building in this city if it can't even be seen. I still think in height terms...

    I don't recall it being 65 floors!?!?

Isn't it time we move this to Buildings & Architecture ? The only Four Seasons we should see here is the hotel and residence towers.

Sonder Hotel (was Templar, 348 Adelaide W, Rhed, 8s, Del Terrelonge) COMPLETE

Would be nice to see it fully restored, maybe put a Keg Mansion in it. And a nice patio out front. As for the Templar Hotel, not bad but I hope they do something with the sides of it.

    Historic subway cars vandalized

Actually, I think it gives them life and more of a connection to their urban past.

The render makes me think of Calagary.

For those who aren't familiar with this project, if you think properties like London, Murano, and others are slow to reach completion this one takes the cake. 3 years now and still not done.

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

Not that this is great news that we'll be losing a historical building. But does this mean they actually might have enough in sales to go ahead with construction some time soon? Could Canada's new second tallest be just around the corner (if you include the fins)?

    Mississauga Toronto | Absolute World | 169.77m | 56s | Cityzen | MAD architects

That is all Absolute is, a core who's shape doesn't change, just the outer envelope. The Miami tower actually took more work in a 3D application to produce then Absolute did.

Well a tell tale sign that it is cast iron is that they placed lighting rods on them. I Don't think that polystyrene would fair to well when hit by bolt of lightning approaching temperatures of 30,000 °C. Those guys in MCC can melt at the low low temperature of 260 °C.
