I know what development he's referring to. Both "the Well"s were created by the same person, one in hamiltn, one in toronto, as steve was orignally from hamilton and thus wanted a presence here, but the one in hamilton was run by someone else - steve originally set up both wells, the "pitbull"...

That would require the existing well in hamilton to move. I was actually just talking to steve who originally was the one who opened it and he said the guy running it partook in some unethical stuff which caused him to part ways with it.

meee toooo :) I've been waiting this whole time for that thing to be installed hahaha.. I do love innovating looking things and I am curious to see if its a suspension cable type look and how that looks all around,

Chris, they only know how to make architecture with rectangles these day lol but yes for CORE URBAN it's def too rectangular. But it reminds me of the old victorian era storefronts, so I am happy about that :) - hopefully itll have some nice brass or gold lettering on it :)

Sorry my bad I was looking at the picture canuck posted - and im like thats def not gonna happen there. I don't feel like augusta st is quite there yet. It doesnt have the same vibe as james st n and is a much shorter stretch. It's just one block - if that church gets demolished and more is...

Not gonna happen until it actually LOOKS like James St North - aka tight stores on each side of the road.

Their attempt to break out of the monochrome pallet everyone is building in these days I guess.

ohh sweet naive stec :P - we all know they will, this is hamilton after all.. right beside crazy corridor central..

Ah ok I figured it might be something like that. Wonder how long till those planters get wrecked.. I also still do find it strange there is no patio space on the king william side... but maybe it's better just being on one side? I dunno..

Hmm what is that gold plaque thing above the entrance there?

yes I know, and ohh yeah I forgot about that little part on king street.. yea I really hated that feeling of "well you can''t last forever textile building" - I really hope that never happens as I love all of core urbans work.. not.. biased at all.. hahaha.. so yeah, hopefully they clad both...

I honestly think they are planning for future demolition of the remaining textile building which would finish up this block and cover that wall. I mean I often forget that building is even THERE- and when the next tower goes up beside it it will be hidden completely.

You do have a point there - in future someone could punch out those windows, add a cornice to the top and make it look "better", so there is at least that hope for the future. I really want to know the reasoning behind that - what is going on with the interior floor plans to have merited this...

Vranich is a stain on this city.

    Hamilton Toronto | 75 James Condos | 108m | 34s | LIUNA | Graziani + Corazza

Let's face it, even liuna pales compared to core urban. William Thomas only looked good because the existing stonework was already there.

    Hamilton Toronto | 129-131 Wellington Street North | 15.19m | 4s | WQP | RAW Design

Yeah I just have high standards - this literally looks like something Vranich would build, and that is NOT high praise. You can see the join lines - it literally looks like 3 precast levels simply stacked onto each other - it doesn't feel organic at all and there is no stone elements - to...
