Streetcar service was a bit mangled again tonight. This time one broke down in the Dufferin loop causing a massive back up.

Demolition is flying along here. In 24 hours they've advanced East by one bent. And I made a mistake in my last post. The TTC section they're almost finished across from is a no public access area, despite the group walking through when I shot this lol. The section adjacent to the paid fare...

The work doesn't need to be done before The Ex for GO and TTC to be operational. There hasn't and won't ever be any effect on GO, and the 509 is down to busses for the time being but they can easily just avoid or pause work that affects any service during the CNE.

June 18 Update. They've demolished most of the road bed & steel adjacent to the TTC paid zone.

New dock going in front of the Princes' Gates @ The Ex

Trying to wrap my head around the fact that the building seems to only be allowing vinyl stickers as store front signs. Doubtful it's Pet Valu's decision, as they had a nice blocky sign at the Carpet Factory location that moved here.

They've finally started to install the top and bottom of the cladding for the ped bridge staircases. Moving East, here's an arial of the now closed off site for the future portal. Piling coming soon. And all the way West for an arial shot of the recently dug hole leading to a new utility...

June 14th update. More of the road bed demolished above the GO passageway and streetcar loop.

What you're leaving out is that every driver is out driving because they think the Gardiner will be operational. If it was torn down, there will be many people deciding it's not worth it to drive and hence, less congestion. Maybe not less than if the Gardiner was running, but certainly much less...
