Appreciate that. As you say, take with a grain of salt but it wouldn't be surprising. I'm still really glad to see an Edmonton based company like PCL involved with the ICE district. I've proudly seen project involvement in the US from them.

Isn't that highly unusual for this to happen in the building construction industry? Surprised PCL didn't win the bid. This company is world wide. Are they ticked off about something?.. Just trying to be learn a bit.

I doubt the North will be built as well. I'd really prefer a local developer, that has faith in this city, develop these projects and to prosper instead. This city is to be taken seriously now.

It is unfortunate but as you know, proposed projects go stale or get cancelled quite frequently. There are so many positive changes that has happened and will happen to our downtown in the coming years that this proposed project will just be an insignificant faded memory.

Looks like this project is officially cancelled. Member of another forum got a letter from developer that deposits will be returned and that they may build something in the future. Yeah right..

Isn't that one of the six buildings that was sold months ago for 160 million ? I think we'll be seeing those other buildings follow for a redo or conversion.

Agreed. I think as a city we should embrace our city history as well. Extending the Street-Car line to the McDonald Hotel would do that in part. Steamboat tours along the river on a regular basis would be another. Just a couple of ideas. It's great to have all these shiny buildings but put some...

Is Tower B confirmed to be 160m? I'm getting different figures of 149m and 160m. SC here has an older article stating 149m while there's others that state 160m. Thanks.
