    Edmonton | Bonnie Doon Mall Redevelopment | ?m | ?s

I'm no arborist so maybe I'm speaking out my rear end, but having a limited understanding of landscape planning, I have noticed trees being planted very close together in a few public and private spaces around the city. When they're small it's okay, sure, but they'll definitely compete as they...

    Downtown Real Estate

Traditionally sure, the single-family house has been the gold standard. There's no denying it's still probably the end goal for the majority of people, but as a Gen Z zoomer, I can confidently say that this is changing and rapidly among the upcoming cohort of owners of renters. Many people...

Do we have a page for this Edgar project you're referring to? Just curious cause I'd like to see where it is.

    Edmonton | ONE12 | 46m | 14s

In my ideal world, the nearby Tim's would move into the podium of this building so it's original site can be redeveloped as well!

    LRT Expansion Planning

Get over yourself, like truly. I get you care about transit a lot, I think many of us do. Respectful criticism is one thing, but you're personally attacking him now, and only pushing people away from the conversation with your vindictive attitude. Like it or lump it, RM Transit has brought...

Oh let's go, thanks for the insider info then haha! Really excited to see the North side of downtown getting some development for sure.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to this form, Reece. Please, for the love of God, do not take the opinions of the form posts as the overall opinion on you or your content here, because it isn't. Most people do just like and move on, which was me for a while, too. And Please, please, please...

    LRT Expansion Planning

I just saw this! Interesting to see his takes on our transit system as an outsider. While I don't agree with all of his ideas ofc, I never really considered branch lines as a real option for the LRT till now. I also totally agree with him about the "urban LRT" approach and how counterintuitive...

Love it!! You guys really knock it out of the park with simple yet elegant and effective designs. This along with your McKernan projects are adding some great stuff to the south side.

    Edmonton | Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

it is surprising to me that little to no visible work has been done on 102nd ave west of RHW, while other parts of the line might actually see tracks getting laid this year. I don't sequence construction projects though so, maybe there's a reason for that idk 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, even if it was artificially imposed I don't mind the uniform height of the buildings in Government Centre. Kinda gives me a Washington DC vibe.

@Kosy123 for Mayor 2025! Couldn't have thought of a better idea myself 😆

Haha, neat perspective here! This area is definitely gonna look different in the next few years.

Every time I open Engaged Edmonton I get war flashbacks, istg. Actual insanity venting aside, the "Recently Retired Entrepreneur's" comment is taking me OUT. Like omg, the only view that truly matters, the river valley one, is going to be just fine and you're complaining about the view to the...

    Edmonton | Bonnie Doon Mall Redevelopment | ?m | ?s

Oh 100%. If this article proves anything, it's that Westmount Mall is really dying now and I don't see how it will recover as a nearby resident. There apparently are future "renovations" in the works, but imo, First Capital should sell the site and the whole thing should be redeveloped into a...

    LRT Safety

I've been taking the LRT once or twice every weekday for the past month, and it's definitely improved in terms of how comfortable I feel on the train and in the stations.

    Edmonton | Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

I think in terms of TOD potential, a grade-separated metro would've probably brought higher concentrations of density per site, similar to Vancouver (but not quite that intense). The urban LRT won't discourage high-density development from happening (it'll still very much promote it, actually)...
