They will never build an expansion fronting 107 Ave. What's there is there. TBH, while I still have my issues with its design, it has attracted some great tenants and has become a place that people are attracted to. The mural is also a nice touch. In general, these types of places are good for...

The shipping containers will be located on the former park site. The original plan was to use shipping containers on the three-storey building (and a lot of design work went into that) but there were a lot of technical challenges/concerns with meeting building/energy code items, etc. Given the...

Have you walked by it? It's not imposing at all. In fact, I'd say it provides a great street-wall along Gateway making it feel more 'urban', which is appropriate given its context. This will be another game-changing development for that part of Whyte imo. And the north view from the third floor...

That's the hope. While I agree the north side is definitely lacking these types of cool independent spots, it'll be interesting to see what type of tenants this development attracts. I think it'll become a real cool spot.

All that text and you still didn't really answer my question. Do you or do you not know someone at the City that has knowledge or is directly involved in this matter?

^And how do you know they haven't?? Unless you work at the City, are colleagues with those who work for the City and are familiar with this matter/site/developer how do we know what they are/are not doing? Reality is this, for some reason Regency couldn't justify developing this site over...

These types of disputes are usually complex. On one hand the tenant could claim that the Landlord failed to perform to turn over the space in a timely manner as per the lease (that is, if there is such a provision in said lease). Regardless in situations like this, there are many angles both...

And the stretch of Jasper Avenue between 110 Street and 113 Street is a good example of how boulevard trees can grow in soil cells.

They do this when these camps become a public health and safety concern. Yes, they'll set up again but that's how they've been dealing with these camps for a long time. Lather, rinse, repeat. Until a longer term solution is found (which will take time), there's not much the municipality can...

    Edmonton | The Edward | 40m | 13s | ANU Developments | Gardner Architecture

For boulevard trees to "grow" you need either a wider boulevard so the roots can thrive or use soil cells. The City would need to come in an complete a bunch of work in order to facilitate this, not easy to just half ass it.

    Edmonton | Battalion Square - Griesbach | 6s | Beljan

^For this to be successful your market needs to extend beyond Griesbach. I think this is a smart way to add some density to a site that will compliment the repositioning of an existing building (Beljan specialty). I think this has the potential to be a cool 'neighbourhood-oriented' commercial...
