Traces, yes (seen fragments of rail left embedded in the road myself when I was in the area), and the mainline is indeed that wide, but there's just empty space between the 2 main tracks and a 3rd dead-end one off to the side.

Something about the CPKC rail line on this map looks way off (looking at google maps for comparison, the spur branching off west from the mainline doesn't exist anymore, and there's definitely not that many tracks on the mainline in that area, unless the map accounts for any planned expansions...

North* of Bloor, where many stops are 2 km apart. South of Bloor, every 0.5 km or so.

Happened to me just over a month ago, all because of one pesky little piece of glass that was invisible on the road. Luckily it was along Danforth, so I had to get on line 2 and then do the walk of shame home. Ofc I didn't have the tools to fix it on the road, and even if I did, it wouldn't help...

Surprised it's becoming more of an issue now. If I'm not mistaken, the era of exploding cellphone batteries was primarily in the early days of cellphones (1980s/1990s or so), and more recently with the Note 7 which has since been resolved. Hopefully eBus batteries wouldn't go off like those...
