I wonder what the freeze on 303 properties in this area (including this building) and the impending HCD mean for this project.

Looks like WAM has rebranded as One Properties. I can't recall if a thread exists for this, but I know it's been discussed before. I wonder how accurate these renderings are... Looks interesting!

What's to become of the entertainment district with all of these buildings that look the same... Also, how is that we're still building glass towers.

This is pretty repulsive... looks equally terrible and cheap in person. But I'm not surprised, as I'm generally not impressed with Menkes.

Just read the news on the globe and mail and had to come out of my slumber... wow talk about gutted... The Well was part of a handful of projects that I'm really looking forward to. With Tridel in the mix, I'm not so sure anymore.

Good point... I mean that whatever outstanding issue exists isn't an issue with the planning department/the application.

Actually it is definitely one of the outstanding issues regarding the laneway and it isn't a planning matter. Truthfully I suspect the residents of 35 Balmuto will not be satisfied unless this application is cancelled. I suspect they would be equally up in arms if a midrise were proposed here...

Yeah, it's unfortunate. But it seemed pretty clear to me based on the decision to defer approval at the TEYCC back in early May that a resolution wouldn't be achieved in a month given all of the meetings that have occurred in the past 15 months. The laneway issue actually isn't even a planning...

There has been a resubmitted application. This project is now one tower with 38 floors at 120m. The architects are Diamond Schmitt Architects.
