    What about Kitchener-Waterloo's ION LRT???

Sorry combine the blue and orange, with high density one line should be good, with transit bring rides the last mile.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Why not combine the blue and red lines instead... and call it a day.

then take the HSR to Montreal.

Do you really think that the Ontario Line will be the last relief line?? Cuz ... you might as will think about how a RER Queen Line (straight line is helpful) will have to be built afterwards to help unclog the underbuilt Ontario Line.

The new alignment should consider just using King instead of Queen to smooth out the wicked turns.

    Montréal Transit Developments

I've taken the greyhound from Ottawa to Montreal, I do know you get dropped off at the north end of the bus station. I've walked through the station to an exit to outside to Berri St and then walked about 50m to the entrance of the metro just, taken the stairs down, with luggage. (augh)... and...

by that definition... the St. Clair street car qualifies, but half of the soon to be built LRT on Eglington won't.

Similarly, MTL's EXO remaining commuter trains system could be turned into a full day 15 minutes RER type metro too... but that's dreaming... like Toronto's Ontario Line by operating by 2030.

    Montréal Transit Developments

The only thing the Richmond Hill extension will do... is clog the rest of the system... good luck getting on the Yonge Line after Eglinton after the LRT dumps more passengers... the DRL needs to get built ASAP.

Which may lead CDPQi to ditch the airport tunnel.. and just hook up the airport via the pink line through Lachine using a REM type technology, and they might convince Quebec City to do diagonal pink line and do the extension of the blue line as a 2nd branch of the pink line.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

One thing I think they should try during the pilot is to allow Taxis to use King St at all times of the day, they pay for a medallion, if there's too many using it during the day could be reduced by even and odd license plates numbers... and it's one way to introduce a few more cars to the street.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Montreal Solution.... the REM plans and the Pink Line compromise... could be built instead. Whereby only southern portion of REM being built (to downtown) and that it branches into the Pink Line and the Pink Line that goes into Lachine can be extended to the airport.

Maybe instead of planting 100s of the same tree in one location... maybe planting 100 different types of trees would be better so that they aren't all attacked at the same time might be a idea worth considering.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

M nah.... it would be easier for the Midtown Rail Corridor to be used by GO for an RER into Scarborough once the 407 rail bypass is built and CPR no longer runs trains on the Midtown line.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I love your map. The only 2 things I would do... given it's a fantasy is... split the current Yonge-University Line into two new lines thereby providing a 2nd relief line in the downtown.... #1... I would make the 501 street car line a subway.... from Spadina on the University Line down...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

This is the likely the best compromise, to build 20-stop Eglinton East LRT, and branch it to go up McCowan to STC. (as it solves, the transfer problem at Kennedy, unless people jump on the SmartTrack for the quicker ride downtown) Eventually the DRL can be extended to Eglinton... making a...

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

If tunneling under Bay St for a subway (or whatever) this probably needs to loop into Summerhill Station so that when GO - finally starts using the Summerhill Station for the Midtown GO line (CP line currently) people will transfer to go fast downtown rather than using the Yonge line. This...
  19. M

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

GO RER/smart tract could serve most of what the proposed (and cancelled) LTR line (if fair integration occurs), so why not just build a spur from Eglinton East LTR to go up McCowan to STC, (and if really needed loop this to a GO station to be built at Ellesmere) , and continue the Eglinton East...

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

At some point the Yonge line may need a third tunnel to move people DT via a express-train. (where it only stops at Eglinton, Bloor, Queen & Union) So, it might just be feasible to link DRL with the Sheppard Line, at Don Mills so that the TCC can manage the trains movement... at Sheppard.
