    Edmonton | Winspear Centre Completion Project | 29.87m | 4s | Winspear Centre | Andrew Bromberg

Luckily that one from Clark doesn't seem to match up with what's being built so far.

    Edmonton | Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

Looks a lot better from that angle and with the light reflecting off the glass. Which just reinforces to me how much of a difference some better balcony glass (frosted, reflective, just something) would make to this project. Great pics

    Edmonton | Stationlands Residential Towers | 90m | 25s | Qualico | DIALOG

While overall I still don't love the 'wall' that Stationlands forms (primarily due to the Epcor Tower's wide design), this is indeed turning out to be a very nice build. The materials work very well together, some unique spaces, all in all tremendous result. Can't wait for more!

    Edmonton | The Mezzo | 53.95m | 16s | WestOak Development | RAW Design

Fantastic project and a big step up from the first set of renders (which already would have been a welcome project). Great work and can't wait to see this one go up!

    Edmonton | Bateman Lands Mid-Rise | 34m | 8s | Bateman Properties | Next Architecture

That's also fair. Seems like there's a pretty easy compromise here - mandate retail on the corner facing 99 St & 89 Ave, call it 50% of the podium. Both sides unhappy, which usually means the compromise worked well.

    Edmonton | Bateman Lands Mid-Rise | 34m | 8s | Bateman Properties | Next Architecture

100%. I find it nearly impossible to believe that a developer could not fill retail units in this location if they're serious about it. Just look at Beljan across the street, or the plethora of others, it's a great little pocket for small scale grocery or other. This should absolutely stay...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

I seem to recall seeing this type of thing a few times during construction, though I can't remember exactly where, and if memory serves it usually looks a little more temporary (ie: just asphalt). I'd be very, very surprised if this is final though, there's just no way I can rationalize in my...

    Edmonton | The Clifton | 55m | 15s

Even the project sign screams "don't contact us unless you're rich" haha!

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Yeah, they fly Air Canada Jetz. All-business class A320.

    Misc. Transportation Projects

This appears to be a very odd twinning project, and I can't figure out why it's a good idea in their mind. Only 19ave to 34 ave is being done initially, and while yes this is a big choke point especially with the new school opening, they're leaving 2 small sections as single lane, which I think...

    Edmonton | Lewis Farms Community Recreation Centre | ?m | ?s | Saucier + Perrotte

That's a very neat look at the construction! A little surprise the rinks are so obvious this early on in the progress.

    East Junction | 86m | 25s | Regency Developments | DER + Associates

I'd absolutely live there, that's for sure. Fantastic location, LRT adjacent, decently laid out suites by the looks of it, concrete construction. Has a lot of plusses, just wish it looked nicer from the outside! But alas, I hold out hope the rest of the development steps it up on design.

    Edmonton | ICE District Block IJ | ?m | ?s | ICE District Prop. | Next Architecture

This is actually part of the NHL festivities. They're doing concerts before Games 3 & 4 (Our Lady Peace & Shania Twain), and the Fan Park is open as well. Not sure if the same setup is being used for Bomfest when it hits in later June, or if things will get moved around again.

    Edmonton | Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

They're quite high and don't include any utilities (which is rare in rental apartments, unless that's something that's unfortunately changing now) https://www.rentfaster.ca/ab/edmonton/rentals/apartment/1-bedroom/downtown/pet-friendly/566414

    Edmonton | Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

All they had to do was slightly frosted / textured glass on the railings that was more like the rendering and it would've made a world of difference.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

In and of itself this would be fine, but we all know it'll just serve to make flights more expensive. X is the new low fare, and what you used to get inside X you now pay extra for. Disappointing, no matter how much PR they'll spin about it not making things more expensive, we know it will.

    Misc. Transportation Projects

Is there any info available on the twinning of 17th Street from the Henday to ~39ave? It's well underway, but there's no information on the City's website, nor Building Edmonton or even the current construction map. By the looks of it, they are not yet twinning the section between Silverberry...

50 Street Widening & CP Rail Grade Separation

Yeah, that one would be a nightmare to fix. I'd imagine the retaining wall for the Whitemud adds a whole other layer of complexity to what would already be an incredibly difficult solution with what could be built adjacent as far as pillars to send the road over the rail (or vice versa somehow)...

    Edmonton | Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

I used it for the Heritage Classic back in October, and it was seamless. Granted, we got there early, but we had no problem at all finding a spot. Much better than the old Davies P&R over on 86th.
