    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

That is very interesting Dan, thanks for sharing! Its good that they did so much testing on them, I guess they should've bought more...

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

I guess it is because of all the new technological advances the TRs have, that make them so finicky. It's really interesting that the T1's are so fantastic, I've noticed that they T1's are very reliable, I was merely speculating they might have issues as they age more. From the looks of it, they...

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Who knows if the T1's will last as long as other trains. It is evident that stuff today isn't made to the same degree of quality as older things. Take the H4's, supposably, they are very mechanically sound, just take the fact that they're,still running as proof. Compare them to the H6's, which...

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Actually the most silent and smooth train I've ever been on is an H4. Since they don't have much acceleration/deacceleration noise, they can be every quiet when you get one that doesn't have brake squeal noise.

Yorkdale Subway Station Easier Access (Arc En Ciel Reinstallation)

What excellent news! This quite exciting, I would love to see the Arc En Ciel resurrected!
  6. TTC12

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Three screens per car according to the TTC website.
  7. TTC12

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

The exterior state of the the trains is because the Wash Racks at Wilson and Greenwood are out of commission (one because of the wilson expansion, and the other because it's too old, and is being replaced) Leaving Davisville's the only working one, according to a TTC report. It also mentions...
  8. TTC12

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Just an update. I was on SB H5 5708, when we approached Davisville at around 9:15AM and noticed that the TR set was parked there! It's even better in real life. Apparently it was parked there after a night of testing.

Well, the T1's didn't have as much issues as the H6's did. Here's a thought, if an H5 and a T1 had a baby, H6 would come out, if you look at them, they combine features from both models.

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

^ It appears so nfitz, I saw the old ones being taken down last week. You can really see the difference between the old and new fixtures on the eastbound platform, nice contrast between the the old and new.

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

If you've gone by Pape station lately, you might have noticed that the station is much brighter at platform level. It has recieved new fluorescent lights, and triangular shaped cases that allow more light to go through. Half of the eastbound platform is yet to be done. A small detail that makes...

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Lets hope we get to see our streetcars, as it seems like the election of Ford is imminent.

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Oh I see what you mean about the descenders. But I'm not sure why capitals would be harder to read, I mean they're easy to read on the buses, and I have pretty bad eyesight... Although I'm sure there are studies proving that.

The vidoes was great M II A II R II K, I really enjoyed it! AS for the destination sign, I'm sure the size of the lettering can be easily modified, there's enough space for a larger sized font. Plus I'm sure if they used all caps, it would look better.

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Agram, I think you might be right, I only saw it being used once, since then, which was about a year ago, I've never seen it operational, and I ride the sheppard line frequently. What does speed control do exactly if I may ask?

    Disappearing Subway Maps

How about you just ask for one at Davisville Station? I got mine there.
  17. TTC12

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Wow! excelent news, I'll surely be keeping a look out for them, and the day we get to look at them.

    Disappearing Subway Maps

Interesting... Thats a good idea, but people will just rip them off, because some people are just out there to damage things. Thanks for the update I'll keep a look out for these.
  19. TTC12

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

Sorry I meant to say I think late 2010 for them entering service would be a miracle, because agram had mentioned that they would take atleast 3 months to fully test the new trains, plus training the operators. I would love to see them in december, but one can only dream...
