This is a very unfortunate take on the Stollery - while I agree a new hospital is needed in South Edmonton, equally needed is a new Stollery. I believe the Stollery is the largest children's hospital in the country (or continent) without a dedicated facility currently working out of the U of A.

I thought the same but I believe Westjet is doing it as a final destination whereas AC/United sees SFO as a connecting hub. Westjet pretty extensively covers California for Edmontonians now with SFO, LAX, and Palm.

The Atlanta Edmonton one is HUGE especially for those that are Westjet status b/c it carries to Delta. AC - your move to bring back Houston and Chicago!

another thing to add on PBR projects right now is the time CMHC is taking to provide COIs. they are significantly backlogged on applications which is further impacting the ability to green light projects.

The other major item Calgary has on Edmonton is that there is actual private sector job creation. Edmonton has virtually zero, which significantly impacts its ability to attract newcomers v Calgary. The mountains, airport, etc. are all a red herring, Calgary has jobs whereas Edmonton does not...
