Unfortunately despite many attempts to the contrary, East Jasper is not taking off.

just recently with it being considered unsafe, etc. it's really changed in recent years unfortunately.

The whole basis of Flair's Nashville flights is for a fun weekend there and as Edmonton's sister city, etc. Chicago is no longer a destination city, the need for a Chicago flight is solely to have United connections at OHD.

The reason for Chicago would be for the UA connections, I don't think getting Flair would really do anything for us.

I agree re: landing the Westjet Atlanta flight would be great, even if it was 3X/week. I just figured with AC/UA previously providing IAH, I hope they bring it back. The Denver 2X daily flight is being heavily used so holding out hope IAH show up.

Instead of EIA hiring a Director of Hydrogen, maybe they should focus on getting more direct flights. Hydrogen in planes is a long ways out, what a stupid posting.

The lack of a Houston direct is really becoming a pain in the ass...

I should add similarly to Denver it would be nice to have a 6 or 7 AM and then another 1 or 2 PM afternoon flight. That way you can hit multiple connections.

We really should have 2 or 3 a day to MSP. It makes flying out to any eastern US city so much simpler than connecting through Toronto. Hopefully Westjet/Delta get huge numbers out of this flight and increase frequency.

This is what I meant - it doesn't really make sense for AC to have these routes out of Calgary as Westjet serves so many destinations out of there. Since in Edmonton we don't have as many of the WJ routes, there could be ridership for them. Anyways, one can dream and I will have to continue to...

agreed don't see it happening but there is opportunity here.

There is a HUGE opportunity for AC to gain significant customers in Edmonton. with Calgary being Westjets hub and HQ, AC should be going after EIA.

i think the fact we had chicago and houston with united before leads me to believe we will get those back before delta/westjet adds atlanta for us. we already have minneapolis for westjet/delta as a major hub.
