Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

I think I spotted it passing through Brampton on a freight train around 10am this morning. It went by too fast to grab a picture, and I wasn't in a good spot to grab one anyways.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I had always thought about doing such myself, but I'm lazy. There are plenty of funny little quirks that can be shown off in public areas. Such as stations with signals actually on the platform.

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

A little bit off topic now, but washrooms at Bramalea Go station really bother me (I imagine other stations may be the same). The station is locked up on weekends completely, even with half-hourly bus service from Union. It's often a bit of time between local service, so a washroom break would...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I've had weird locations in Brampton, and nothing to do with where the garages are. It's often off by a few stops (usually the nearest major timed stop), but sometimes it's been off by entire routes. I've had taps at Bramalea Go show as Kennedy/Vodden once.

2016 Census - Journey to Work (GTA)

Mississauga doesn't have much actual physical room to grow. There are still many square kilometres of undeveloped and developing land in Brampton that wasn't there a few years ago. Brampton is growing north and west, along Mississauga Rd and north of Mount Pleasant Go are areas. Most of it is...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

That's because of the layout of the area. Zum buses never served the main bus loop where the York U station actually, they stop just north. And the Pioneer Villager is right under Steeles. It's not incorrect, just somewhat misleading.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I also noticed on their twitter that Brampton Transit terminals couldn't refill Presto cards at some point today. Probably related.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

They haven't touched Bramalea platform 4 in at least a year, if not two years now. It's been ready to be paved for that long and just left to sit there.

    miWay Transit

There are a few rather odd things on the 2020 map. 142 route doesn't exist on the 2020 map. 100 goes to UTM and South Common, and not Winston Churchill in 2020. 102 just seems to run between Islington and the Sheridan Centre, and the Sheridan Centre itself isn't on the 2020 map. Some routes...

    TTC: Streetcar Network

I doubt the TTC will want to put a streetcar line down through a valley that still floods on occasion. Good idea, but it's more likely that even Go will want out of that valley.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Platform Four at Bramalea has been virtually untouched for over year, if not two years by now and is still unfinished. So, what in the world is going on there? Could that be partially why they haven't bothered with extra track beyond?

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

And yet there was also flurries mid March this year. And I remember flurries as early as Thanksgiving over a decade ago. Winter is relative. Although, I recall this past winter being quite up and down, alternating between cold and mild. 3 months guaranteed winter, with unpredictable weather...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Zum buses are still planning to go into York U on the same route as currently, although some may also serve VMC too. But, with the line opening relatively soon, the official details of fares and potential co-fares really should ironed out and revealed to the public.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Even the locations on other systems are often not correct, and sometimes way off. Not even logical locations like the garage, but some other random intersection across town. The only difference is that it hardly matters because of the transfer policy.

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

I've only taken the UPX a handful of times from the Airport to Union, on a weekend morning, and never been fare checked.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I noted something about a similar thing a few weekends ago. Bramalea station still gets very regular bus service on the weekend, but the station building is locked all weekend. I came in on a bus from Union, and had a good 20 minute wait to get a connecting local bus, but with the building...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I've heard it done rarely if you forget to tap once, and the fare inspector can see a history of consistent payment for the same fare, and just let you off with a warning instead of a fine. Of course, they may also see if you're not tapping with the same info.

    Brampton Transit/Zum

http://www.brampton.ca/EN/residents/transit/service-alerts/Pages/Transit-Updates.aspx#132 The 2017 Service plan seems to have been changed recently, with the addition of a 501C route. It definitely wasn't there when the plan was first revealed. But, no map of its actual route. Route 501C Züm...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

There are a lot of ways to count an actual second trip as a transfer, provided it's not the same route or tapping to re-enter the subway, which is easy enough to get around, sometimes accidentally, sometimes intentionally. On the other hand, there are many legit transfers that it will double...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Well, the 72 did used to run to Union, and then was split into two routes (72/172) during years of construction at Union, and only recently restored. The 121 is just coming up on one year, being implemented during the bus roll-out of Presto readers. They could have at least considered it's...
