    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I've never actually seen them use it on the TTC. I rarely actually see them inspecting. There's always some at Spadina, but I've gotten checked a handful of times only. And twice with Presto, I just show the card and they don't actually check it.

TTC: Cherry Street reconstruction and streetcar trackage (City of Toronto/TTC, U/C)

You're definitely not going to see it from behind the front doors though.

It's actually over at Commerce, so yes that would make Renforth fairly superfluous.

    SmartTrack (Proposed)

https://twitter.com/BenSpurr/status/745279497595817984 Spadina and Front is an entirely bizarre location to me, way too close to Union already. It's only about 1km from Union. It would make more sense to put a stop somewhere between Liberty Village and Bloor. I'm not sure how they could even...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I don't buy it having to be audible as an excuse for not having them, as every other Presto system doesn't have it audible and frankly having it audible is a stupid idea (considering the amount of information that they do display at once)

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It really depends on the nature of illness. Given how busy the system is, you often get a cascade of alarms (say, claustrophobia) when the system is busy and any problem appears. Even people just getting too hot is bad, which is more likely the busier the train is.

But they haven't even started the at grade sections yet. It's the stations that take the longest, see the Spadina extension which is still a while from completion but tunneling was done a while ago.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

There are a few problems with any alignment south from Humber College. Any route will run into some but not all of these problems, depending on how the route goes Humber River and Valley (to be crossed by any route) RBC Bank right at the corner of Hwy 27 and Queen's Plate. (a few years old now)...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

http://ttc.ca/News/2016/May/05-02-16.jsp Some buses are now Presto enabled today. Article says 19, and doesn't mention any specific routes. (I'm aware that any bus could have it - but I hoped that it would at least be assigned to buses on specific routes asit rolled out - say the Express bus...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Same old, same old. I'll believe it when I see it.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Brampton GO buses are awful whenever there's any event downtown. Fan Expo? Jays game? Comic Con? GO Buses always go to standing room only once they let out, with 30 minute wait in between (depending on your destination) The same is true of many other bus routes when trains aren't running.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I've seen bicyclists almost get hit by doing that just as the bus starts moving again.

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

The GO site is usually good for delays, although not always with reasons. I was taking a midday train home to Bramalea last week, and it stopped just pulling out of Malton for about ten minutes. After seven minutes, I hopped onto the website, and the only explanation was "Delay: Stopped". A...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

So, where is the actual place where you scan your card for those readers? Also, I occasionally see people try to scan their card on the huge screen on the ttc readers.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I've never experienced it on the streetcar yet, but I've gotten on for free when Presto was unavailable. At Spadina once, most of the turnstiles were gone and the collector booth closed to install the newer readers. I had gone in to buy tokens, and some workers just waved me in (even though I...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

St Clair West (there's not a tunnel at St Clair station) isn't constrained like the other tunnels are, except for probably the ramps. But even they are larger to accommodate buses as well.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

There is very few such positions anywhere on the system - the only ones would be in the tunnels at Spadina and Queens Quay to Union, as well as under the Gardiner at Humber Loop. Only Union section was affected, and even then it's not a long distance between stops.

    miWay Transit

That new plan seems so backwards, it's like anything that isn't on a major road is being lost. For example, compare the east end of Courtney Park now and then, all of those streets lose service. Lots of service lost along businesses south of the airport. Rexdale loses service - routes 30 and...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

When Spadina was made into PoP route, I would see fare inspectors at Spadina station checking everyone at least once a week. I have not seen any since all routes went PoP.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I find them squealing a lot when they crawl into Spadina, but the same is also true of the rocket subway cars. (less so the faster they travel)
