Technology problem. You need those gates they have in Asia that close right away, and more distance between the reader and the gate.

Just hope they have some mitigation plans and flexibility built in when their projections are missed.

Bang for buck, more tourists would be vastly more beneficial than residents. Tourists are apt to eat out almost every meal and shop in person. Residential is good but impact is gradual and won't be enough.

Doesn't that assume that house prices will drop in Ontario and BC? Isn't that a bit of a risky assumption to make?

We're growing by 4% without any real oil boom now. Underlying factors have changed, that's why it seems like a forecast of growth at 2% per year is no longer reasonable.

Isn't the point of the planning exercise to plan for actual growth, not what the ideal would be?

Unless Toronto/Vancouver have a housing price crash I can't see it stopping. As younger people in those cities age to a point where they want more space, successive waves of people will be looking for where to make that happen.
