Speaking of King St W...there is a 110 metre span between Joe Schuster Way and Jefferson Avenue, right where the condos are being built. They're both across from Lamport Stadium, but I can't figure out why those two stops are so close.
I also like the fact that in the span of 50 years, the computer terminals went from taking up a whole room to being the size of a DVD player, and maybe smaller!
This is a great part of Toronto's Scouting history!! I'm a member of a Toronto scout group (the 3rd in the King/Dunn area, and used to be in George's group about a decade ago (62nd at Dovercourt/Bloor). I would love to see more about Toronto's Scouting past! If I myself find something, I'll post!
Hello everyone...long-time follower of this thread! A quick question here:
I wonder if the G. A. Stimson building from this picture is the same as the Admiral Appliance building some years later.
I scored 18/20, considering I've never seen Finch Station's exit before. One thing though...since when was Royal York station's hallway yellow? It looked yellow to me.
The only one I know of is the Toy Factory Lofts in Liberty Village. They took it down 7 years ago, restored it and put it back on the top of the building when they finished in 2008.
I finally caught one on my way from Sheppard Station. Very sweet and smooth ride! It took me 2 stations to get from one end of the train to the other. Only one beef: I don't like the fact there is no railfan window on either end.
Speaking of cafes, there have been quite a few opening up, such as Ground Level on Queen and Lansdowne, and my new favourite, the Mascot (which used to be a T-shirt store). They have some awesome coffee there.
I have a question of my own:
How about the shoppers at Price Choppers? Now that the buses don't stop there anymore, they will have to walk a block to get to the stop.
